Fredrick "Fred" Jones is one of the three tritagonists (alongside Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley) of the 2009 direct to video live-action film Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and its 2010 sequel Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster.

He is a high school teenage boy who becomes the leader of Mystery Inc.

He is portrayed by Robbie Amell.

Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins[]

Fred is first seen on the bus watching his friend trip Shaggy Rogers to his annoyance and dismay. After Fred, Shaggy and two school girls Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley are accused of a school prank involving ghosts, they team up with Shaggy's talking dog Scooby-Doo to clear their names and solve the mystery. During the case, Fred falls in love with Daphne.

Scooby-Doo! Curse Of The Lake Monster[]

Fred and the gang have been solving mysteries all over the town. During a case, Fred and Daphne start dating each other. While investigating lake monster sightings at a country club, Fred and Daphne's relationship is put to the test.
