Jeremiah "Old Man" Wickles is an ex-convict who was trying to go straight by opening a mining-themed amusement park in Coolsville.
Physical appearance[]
Wickles is an elderly Caucasian male, with balding white hair. He always wears a coat and a hat when he goes out, except in his meeting with his lawyers, where he wore a red jacket, a pink shirt and white pants.
Personality[]
He seems to be grumpy and aggressive to people. He seems to be suffering from early dementia as he thought bushes were talking to him.
History[]
Early life[]
He was incarcerated for illegal acts as the Black Knight Ghost. During his time as a prisoner, he was roommates with Jonathan Jacobo, a former scientist, and hated him deeply for getting the lead in My Fair Lady and always stealing his tater tots.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed[]
Wickles seemed to have given up on his villainous ways to the point that he gives a half-hearted repentance speech to Shaggy and Scooby at the Faux Ghost. However, the gang assumed he was behind the theft of the costumes in the Coolsonian Criminology Museum to be turned into real monsters. They went into his mansion to investigate, and ended up trapped in a giant sphere-like cage along with other trespassers in the basement. Daphne Blake freed them and herself using her makeup kit, and the gang split up to find clues. Fred Jones and the girls found a book of monster reincarnations in his library, along with randomonium dust everywhere on the floor, which roused their suspicions even more before they encountered the Black Night Ghost. Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo found Wickles in the Coolsville Mining Company thanks to a ticket to a nightclub called the Faux Ghost. Although he claimed to be innocent, Shaggy and Scooby followed Wickles into a lab where they found the Monster Hive. Eventually, his innocence was proven when Fred and the girls discovered that Wickles had only been planning to turn the mining town into an amusement park for children.
When Jacobo was arrested once more, Mystery Inc. revealed that the former tried to frame Wickles for his crimes by sending the living Black Knight Ghost costume to plant the book of monsters in his mansion. Wickles angrily berated Jacobo for taking the lead in My Fair Lady, and stealing his tater tots, to which the latter retorted by saying that he was an excellent Eliza, and the tater tots were 'puffy'.
Wickles is then seen celebrating with Mystey Inc., and the reformed criminals, in the Faux Ghost, and it is implied that he has made a friendship with them.
