"Road Trippin'" is the first segment in the fifth episode of the first season of Hailey's On It!. It is also the eighth episode of the season overall. It premiered early on June 9, 2023 on Disney+, and premiered a two weeks later on Disney Channel on June 24, 2023.

Plot[]

Hailey is informed by Beta that her next item to cross off her list is to go on a shopping spree using all the gift cards she has accumulated over the years. She and Scott proceed to spend all the cards on a variety of goods and services, only to discover that there is still some money they have not spent yet. Hailey discovers a $10 gift card for Butter Burger, a terrible restaurant that shut down years ago due to health code violations. Beta tells them that there is another Butter Burger still open in Arizona and Hailey decides to go. Scott informs her that he has a 45 day anniversary with Kristine, but that he will try to come along with her to the Butter Burger.

Hailey gets on a bus, expecting to be by herself, but Scott arrives revealing that he convinced Kristine to come along with them. The bus driver turns out to be constantly angry and a tough looking woman sits in front of them. However, whether Hailey expected it or not, Hailey and Scott end up having a great time singing songs and playing punching games on the bus while Kristine continues to be uncomfortable and out of place. They finally arrive at Butter Burger which has a deep ball pit and Hailey and Scott proceed to play in it while Kristine nervously stands on the side. Hailey pulls her into the ball pit, but Kristine ends up losing her hat. Hailey decides to comfort her while Scott looks for her hat.

Hailey finds Kristine, wearing a backup hat, and she tells her that Scott planned to take her to a batting cage and that she agreed to come along because she hoped it would be better, but ended up having a bad time. Kristine admits that she is jealous of her and Scott's friendship and wishes she had the same closeness. Hailey reveals that she was afraid of losing her friendship with Scott, but Kristine insists that Scott talks about her a lot and does not want to change that. Hailey gives Kristine a baseball card to give to Scott as an early birthday gift to make up for it. Scott likes it, but is well aware that it was Hailey who gave her the card to begin with.
