The DFT-30 is a flatbed truck appearing in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The DFT-30 resembles a Ford Cargo given the cab design. However, it is more likely, given its size, that it is based on a Mitsubishi Fuso Fighter.
The DFT-30 is depicted as a large and long cab-over flatbed truck, where the front end features a rectangular bumper with a black central section, a set of unusable dual fog lights on each side, and black details on the far edges, while the section between the bumper and the cabin windshield features large square headlights, a black section above the headlights and small amber indicators beside the black section. The sides of the cab have small access steps and large doors with the corresponding rear-view mirrors, along with large windows on each side and the fuel cap on the driver side. As with most trucks in the game, the DFT-30 is only capable of seating two occupants.
The rear section is predominated by the flatbed with a tall wall behind the cabin, where the chassis also has large fuel tanks and guard rails. The rear end features large mudguards and a license plate on the driver-side one, while a set of red circular tail lights are seen below the bed.
The truck only spawns in a white color, which is applied to the cabin and front bumper.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
Like the Flatbed, the DFT-30's size makes it slow and less maneuverable; the length of the truck also makes for difficult driving on narrow roadways, and the stiff suspension leaves the truck unstable and susceptible to tipping over when traveling on uneven terrain. The ground clearance, however, provides some degree of versatility for traveling over bumpy roads
The truck's flatbed is of little use for transporting vehicles (as the load usually slides to the back whenever the truck moves forward, like the Packer). However, it is possible to ride on the back of the truck without the player floating backwards or falling off/over, serving as a steady gunning platform.
The truck is powered by a diesel engine, coupled to a 5-speed gearbox in a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. It shares the engine sound with the Bus and the Coach, being of a high-revving two-stroke diesel.

Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
- It can be often found in all industrial areas throughout San Andreas.
- It can be often seen driven in Bone County, more commonly around Octane Springs.
- It occasionally spawns at the back of the Angel Pine Sawmill (sometimes, a Forklift spawns instead).
Radio Stations[]
- In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the DFT-30 plays Playback FM.
Oversights[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
- Despite being depicted with the body designed of a six-wheeler truck, the DFT-30 has only one rear wheel on its left axle while the right has two, resulting in a truck that seemingly has only five wheels. This is likely a minor error or bug, as the player is able to see sparks coming from the "invisible" tire when it is punctured, or skid marks when braking.
- This was corrected in the Definitive Edition.
