Hello! Greetings from Denmark!

I like to check files and I helped prepare files on gl.wikipedia so they could be moved to Commons. I plan to do the same here.

If possible I plan to use my bot. Some things need to be prepared first. I have created mw:Extension:FileImporter/Data/gl.wikibooks so files can be moved with FileImporter. I also created Template:NowCommons to add on files moved to Commons.

MGA73 I can't quite understand what you plan to do. By default, all files are uploaded to commons and not to a local wiki. In fact, the files that existed on this local wiki have already been imported into commons.--Mazbel (conversa) 3 de agosto de 2024 ás 17:35 (UTC)Responder

Hello Mazbel! There are 109 files on Especial:Lista_de_imaxes and yes, some of those have been moved to Commons and can now be deleted locally. Some are in Categoría:Páxinas para borrar or Categoría:Imaxes subidas a Wikimedia Commons. @MGA73: Of course. It should be easy to be able to import the files that are lying around loose. Currently, in wikibooks, it does not have administrators and there are only actions by global sysop. So there is no problem in nominating for deletion. @Mazbel: Yes but practice is to do a local request and make a notice at A Taberna so local users have a chance to object if they want. You are welcome to support the bot flag. It always looks better with a support than no comments :-)

It should be very easy to move files to Commons after this Special:Diff/20012. I did the same on gl.wikipedia and it worked fine. It would ofcourse be better if someone change the description "self made" to something else. And once moved to Commons it could use a better category or two. Actually I spend many hours looking at photos from Lugo trying to find out where they were taken :-)

All files marked now. There are 106 files according to Especial:Estatísticas. The files are sorted like this:

1. 89 files are in Categoría:Files from gl.wikibooks to check and should be ready to move.
2. 15 files are in Categoría:Files with no license. They should be checked to see if they can be fixed.
3. 2 files are in Categoría:Imaxes. They have a license template that does not exist.

Well, checking some images, it mentions cc-by-sa-2.1-es liciency. That license in question is not valid. We should change the license to cc-by-sa-2.0 which is the global form. @MGA73 with your bot, it is possible to replace this in a faster way, than changing them one by one?.--Mazbel (conversa) 11 de agosto de 2024 ás 19:33 (UTC)Responder

@Mazbel: Yes can fix with bot if it is more than a few files. Files copied from other wikis should be moved to Commons from the original wiki.
