Atsushi Takahashi (高橋 敦史 , Takahashi Atsushi, born July 8, 1972) is a Japanese animator and performer.
History[]
He initially worked at Studio Ghibli before working as a freelancer. In 1999, he worked on the production of My Neighbors the Yamadas, where he was promoted to assistant director of Spirited Away in 2001.
Later, he transferred to studio MADHOUSE, and made his debut working on the 2001 TV animation adaptation of Hajime no Ippo, in particular, storyboarding Chapter 54. In 2009, he directed his first animated series, Rideback, based on a popular manga series of the same name. He went on to storyboard several series since, including Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Sword Art Online II, The Seven Deadly Sins, My Hero Academia (Phase 3).
In 2021, he directed Godzilla Singular Point, which was co-produced by studios Bones and Orange. The series debuted on Netflix in Japan on March 25, 2021.
