The Hunting Horn may seem like a weapon that only supports can use, but in the hands of an expert it can become a really powerful weapon. The combination of the buffs and the using the correct combos at the right time can make the Hunting Horn rival the DPS of the other high-tier weapons.
The Hunting Horn is mainly used by players to either buff themselves or their team by performing Songs that are available to play in the set. Also, the Hunting Horn can deal damage similar to a Hammer when used correctly.
Performing Songs are the key mechanic when using a Hunting Horn. Every time the player attacks, it will add a note to the Song which the player can perform by pressing R2. There are different sets of Songs among the Hunting Horns in the game which include different kinds of buffs within each set.
Performing these songs requires the player to queue the right notes in order, and after performing them, the Song will buff the player and their teammates depending on what buff the Song is associated with.
