With almost 4000 rooms and thirteen restaurants, Caesar's Palace, is one of the largest resort complexes in the world; a fun land for adults to eat, drink and be merr-y (-ily relieved of their money).
The picture shows a 20 foot (6.1m) tall Caesar Augustus at the entrance to his palace, with one of his towers of rooms behind him.
A eurasian curlew (numenius arquata) in silhouette, the picture is taken at Mjelle with parts of Lofoten in the background. Something different, a sunny and colourful daytime panorama of the pretty town of Thun. It was actually quite a challenge to piece together four images without too much geometric distortion, and I know I haven't succeeded in correcting it all. But I like the way the colours turned out, and also I felt sorry for my oneother Swiss photo sitting alone in the
Switzerland album ☺.
Syzygium is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. The genus comprises about 1200–1800 species, and has a native range that extends from Africa and Madagascar through southern Asia east through the Pacific. Its highest levels of diversity occur from Malaysia to northeastern Australia, where many species are very poorly known and many more have not been described taxonomically. Cascade is a beautiful mid sized shrub with mid-sized glossy apple green leaves with attractive red and pink new growth. Spectacular pink powder-puff flowers in summer are followed by pinkish fruits that are edible and attract birds. 44753
After a nasty late afternoon thunderstorm rolled through Morrisville, an eerie sort of orange glow fell over the town just as Conrail Shared Assets local YPMO-R1 heads for Staley with a cut of 12 cars.
Leave it all
Even if it hurts
Walking on the endless waters
Hoping for a life rebuilding
You can feel it
Then tell me what to do
The dancing waters
Are coming after you

Longer l'étang de Thau, atteindre Marseillan, cité balnéaire où l'été s'accessoirise, mais surtout retrouver entre Marseillan et Mèze un lieu unique paumé entre champs de melons et garrigues... à suivre!
...
Along the Etang de Thau, Marseillan reach, seaside city where summer is accessorised, but mostly found between Marseillan and Mèze lost one place in between fields of melons and scrubland ... to follow.
Yesterday we had a fun boat party here in summery New Zealand. There was a tiny flotilla of people out to celebrate our friend Michelle's birthday and we cruised on out to this awesome deserted island. I think it's called Beehive Island. I don't know if you watch my silly Instagram stories or not, but there is some more behind-the-scenes on there.

On Lake Garda
... and really, the Lake Garda is the compendium of Italy for the Germans, from whom he learned the rudiments of Italian beauty in a summer morning. In sapphire emerald, it is bound, and adorned with sonnengoldnem section.
There are many varieties of birds in Bodega Bay. It’s kind of a tricky place to get the picture, you need the right tide, no fog, and of course birds. Loons walk clumsily on land; that's how they got their name, according to National Geographic. They are unable to walk easily on land because their legs are located far to the rear of their bodies. That position also makes them powerful swimmers, however. They are migratory and during the Summer will fly north to breed.
Sometimes the best shots are the most comfortable shots. Laying down on the tundra on a warm summer day can be very relaxing. (as long as there is a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away) This photo was taken at eye level with this young fox. The fox kept looking at me, probably wondering what I was. It would sniff around, trot towards me, stop and look, listen, then get closer still. The fox came within 15 feet and decided that was close enough and retreated back over the tundra. A memory that brings a smile.

Het begin van een snik hete dag , de zon liet wel even op zich wachten vanmorgen maar het was zo heerlijk vanmorgen vroeg, een echte verademing , lekker even opladen voor de hitte begint :-))

The start of a sweltering day, the sun was a bit late this morning but it was so wonderful early this morning, a real relief, nice to recharge before the heat starts :-))

I've been going through my Canadian photos recently and noticed a few photos that I hadn't merged into a panorama which I have now done. The merge was done with Lightroom CC.
This is at the end of the Valley of Six Glaciers (also known as Valley of Six Plains), a hike above Lake Louise, Canadian Rockies.
This image is taken of the bridge crossing between Sweden and Denmark. When the bridge over Öresund was finished it connected Malmö and Copenhagen and created opportunities for companies to thrive on both sides of the sea.
This particular morning the haze/fog was hiding the Denmark side and it made for an etherial image where the bridge leads out in the unknown.

There's something about Littondale in winter that draws me back. I admit it's a place I tend to shun in summer when the narrow roads are busier but in winter when the snow highlights the contours of the hillsides and the barns stand out it's truly magical.

I just managed to get this shot before the sky was totally covered with clouds.
Abstracting the transitioning of a section of travertine at the Mammoth Hot Springs area. As the geothermal run off changes course, the thermophiles can no longer live, and the travertine turns its natural white. This reminded me of a dark and light cookie. Antwerp (Dutch: Antwerpen; French: Anvers) is the largest city in Belgium by area at 204.51 km2 (78.96 sq mi) and the capital of Antwerp Province in the Flemish Region. With a population of 520,504, it is the most populous city center in Belgium, and with a metropolitan population of around 1,200,000 people; it is the second-largest metropolitan region after Brussels.
Antwerp is on the River Scheldt, linked to the North Sea by the river's Westerschelde estuary. It is about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Brussels, and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of the Dutch border. The Port of Antwerp is one of the biggest in the world, ranking second in Europe and within the top 20 globally. The city is also welknown for being the hub of diamond industry and trade in the world. In 2020, the Globalization and World Cities Research Network rated Antwerp as a Gamma + (third level/top tier) Global City.
Both economically and culturally, Antwerp is and has long been an important city in the Low Countries, especially before and during the Spanish Fury (1576) and throughout and after the subsequent Dutch Revolt. The Bourse of Antwerp, originally built in 1531 and re-built in 1872, was the world's first purpose-built commodity exchange. It was founded before stocks and shares existed, so was not strictly a stock exchange.
The inhabitants of Antwerp are nicknamed Sinjoren, after the Spanish honorific señor or French seigneur, "lord", referring to the Spanish noblemen who ruled the city in the 17th century. The city hosted the 1920 Summer Olympics.

"The Hidden Face" - can you detect it?
It doesn't seem to matter if it is summer or winter, the pumas of Patagonia still manage to blend in supremely well with their environment.

If you believe in forever
Then life is just a one-night stand
If there's a rock and roll heaven
Well you know they've got a hell of a band.
I woke up with this song stuck, I mean really stuck, in my head and felt that I had to incorporate it into my image for today. I know it was a pretty famous and old song but I haven't heard it in many years. I did a little research today and found out it was by The Righteous Brothers. They broke up in 1969 but reunited in 1974 to make Rock and Roll Heaven and it became a smash hit song. It's about all the music greats who died young like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Croce and how they must be rockin' in heaven.
This image may look like it doesn't have much to do with music but if you look on the wet sand you can see a reflection of rock and roll heaven.
Here's a link to the song
