Christmas after all is the celebration of love and light, grace and joy... the birth of a King who 's showing it all!
Again this year neither I could succeed in taking any good traditional Christmas pictures! I had taken this one before and immediately when seeing it I had already thought of saving it for Christmas... it just felt like that. After all it has golden light in it and I just very much like that in combination with this baby pink!! So suiting even very well I should think, yeah, come to think of it... should have just sticked to my first idea and not have wasted my efforts... coming back to it anyway!!!! But then again, now writing about it I understand... always feels like it 's so in the hands of God teaching us so subtily... or it 's maybe just us getting distracted and confused by 'wordly ways', because I could have thought of why it made me feel like that also right away, without having to need all the extra frustration and uncertainty! Let 's just say all 's well that ends well, but God, it can take long and much!!!!!!!! Just like that Kingdom, yeah... feels to me only like it should have been here already longtime! Let 's just wish for it real hard now...
Pink Quill (Tillandsia cyanea)
I have never seen a plant quite like the Pink Quill. My photo doesn't quite do the plant justice as the pink and purple seemed so vibrant in person. The plant has beautiful pink quills (hence the name), and purple flower bloom from the quill. I've read that it's a relatively easy to care for house plant. Definitely on my list :-)

A complete contrast to today's other upload and definitely more gentle on the eye! I think they may be Erysimum or wall flowers.

Another of the early dahlias in the dahlia garden at Volunteer Park.
All of these dahlia shots came from a walk to the park in the late afternoon sun.

Intoxication: the state of being intoxicated, especially by alcohol, or in this case, the colour pink.

For me: a Field of Love.
Found in the Provence, a long time ago.

Clematis (from Ancient Greek klematis, a climbing plant, probably periwinkle) is a genus of mostly vigorous climbing lianas, with attractive flowers. Some species are shrubby, and some others are herbaceous perennial plants. They are found throughout the temperate regions of both hemispheres, and also in mountains in the tropics. The cool temperate species are deciduous, but many of the warmer climate species are evergreen..

I use Macro lense for this shot!!!
The first real day of Spring, and it rains. Not to be deterred, I headed to the flower store to see what was in the shop.
Thanks for viewing my photo
Pink azalea blooms. Some minimal editing / cropping. Background is a light overcast sky.
My intent was to capture the existing blooms on this lone branch, and more particularly the three flowers in the foreground that were about to bloom as well as the associated greenery.
I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted a bit more focus on the open blooms behind or the closed blooms and leaves / greenery in front, and ultimately opted for the latter as the unopened blooms represent the beauty of anticipation and patience.
