Beautiful day at Castle Hill, Ipswich, Massachusetts. Roaming through the garden area there were still some blooms so late in the season.

The orange carrot was created by the Dutch growers. There is pictorial evidence that the orange carrot existed at least in 512, but it is probable that it was not a stable variety until the Dutch bred the cultivar termed the "Long Orange" at the end of 17th century - beginning of the 18th century. Some claim that the Dutch created the orange carrots to honor the Dutch flag at the time and William of Orange, but other authorities argue these claims lack convincing evidence and it is possible that the orange carrot was favored by the Europeans because it does not brown the soups and stews as the purple carrot does and, as such, was more visually attractive

Warblers don't often come to seed, but this one is showing up regularly when I throw out seeds for woods birds. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
This one and another were at the feeding station, not for the seed or suet but for the company of sparrows and chickadees. They were picking small arthropods in a patch of nettles. At any rate it's a joy to see them in the winter.

Just my interpretation of what that might look like - I have no personal experience with hallucinogenics LOL! Edited using deep dream generator dot com - frame added in PS afterwards. Original image in comments.
Very brief landing in a tree, and then off and out of sight. Looks like he might have been taking a bath somewhere shortly before this.
This is a Spring image of a bright individual in Michigan from May 2019. One of the advantages of going to Michigan around the end of the third week of May is not only do you have a chance get the Michigan breeders but also those like this species that are heading even further north to breed.
Sorry got to delete my previous Flickr account as there was a problem with my login email address....
The sun is red or orange at sunrise or sunset due to the fact that the blue end of the spectrum ( including UV ) is scattered more when the sun is low in the sky the light has to pass through a longer distance through the atmosphere. It is the same phenomena that makes the sky blue along with the extra scattering caused by particulate matter in the atmosphere.
In this photo of mine I noticed the white roof of the house is purple.
