I photographed this amphibious automobile, the Amphicar, with my iPhone while I was in Jackson, WY last summer. There were only 4500 of these produced out of Berlin, Germany from 1962 to 1967 (and most of these, about 3700, came to the USA). There are estimated to be only about 585 still in regular use today. To see 3 more photos of this car, go to my FotoWrite blog.
Why people like this funny car.

So the weather isn't so great here in the UK at the moment and we're all asking 'where's summer?'
But when I hear of flash floods in Spain and 50c temperatures in India I count my blessings.
As I write this the sun is trying to break through the cloud!
How cool is that?

I learned or was at least reminded, about so much when I change the background here. The main thing is not to sharpen the image until after all the changes have been made. The back ground is from a stock photo that I downloaded from the Internet. It came in a package with several others. This is the first time I've been able to use it.
The seating area at the front of the Waggon & Horses on the Burnley Road are deserted, presumably due to the incessant rain, as a couple of cars head towards Todmoden. 156427 can be seen passing in the background with 2L78 Accrington to Wigan Wallgate with part of the semi derelict Frostholme Mill reflected in the ever growing puddle outside the pub.
