Coral Beach is situated in the north of Skye by the small crofting community of Claigan. The beach is made from crushed white coral like seaweed that makes the water look tropical blue when the sun comes out.

Today is the custom of kite flying.

Wherever you go on Long Beach Island, the dunes are a sweet enticement to cross over to the ocean.....they get higher and higher in an attempt to fight erosion. And the plants help keep all this new sand in place.

If you zoom in all the way to the horizon, you can find Annisquam Light, which has been the center of many of my other photos. Here it is from a great distance.
