The army that brushed aside our troops in Daein and defeated General Petrine at the Riven Bridge? They're marching towards us? Fantastic! I was getting bored hunting stragglers. Let's smash all of these curs and wrap ourselves in glory.
— Rikard

Rikard (Japanese: リヒトル Rihitoru) is a general in the Daein army who fought in the Mad King's War. He led a Daein siege of Delbray Castle in Crimea, aiming to put an end to the Crimean resistance led by Geoffrey there, and was opposed by Ike and the Crimean army when they came to rescue Geoffrey and his allies from Rikard's attack.

Personality

Rikard is obsessed with winning fame and glory for himself through his battles. He believes that defeating foes as powerful as Ike and the Crimean army, after all of their victories against Daein will ensure that he achieves this, and was similarly impressed when Crimean refugees resisted him as well as they did.[1] In his view, no matter how much fame he attains, being defeated puts an end to all of it. He realizes that killing defenseless herons is wrong, but resigns himself to doing it to put an end to Ike's army.
