Come at me with your all. I will make you kneel.

Everkeep is a Trial Trial in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, added in patch 7.0. It is a fight against Zoraal Ja, the King of Resolve of Alexandria.

Story[]

Normal[]

Known as the Resilient Son for the miracle of his birth, the First Promise Zoraal Ja was driven solely by the desire to prove his worth. So it was that he had embarked upon the path of conquest, but it led him nowhere save to an empty summit. Having failed to win the throne and surpass his father, he remains consumed by his obsession and has devoured the souls of his own people in a bid to achieve his ends. For the sake of not only Tuliyollal, but the entire star, you must put an end to the struggle of this tormented man.

In-game description

Extreme[]

In his blind pursuit to surpass his father, the Resilient Son lost his way, and set foot upon a path that distanced him from friends, comrades, and loved ones. At the end was naught but a twisted throne, before which Zoraal Ja consumed the souls of his own people in a bid to fulfill his hollow ambitions. Was it the pride of a king that consumed his heart in these final moments, or was his conscience weighed down by all he had done? The sorrowful notes of the wandering minstrel's song weave a thread of tragedy through the tale of the First Promise, and your heart grows heavier with each mournful chord. Memories of the encounter soon come flooding back, visions of a harrowing battle playing once again in your mind's eye.

Extreme[]

Such might befits a ruler... befits me!

Zoraal Ja

Extreme battle starts immediately from Zoraal Ja's mutated form, skipping his normal form.

  • Actualize: Raidwide AoE.
  • Multidirectional Divide: Zoraal Ja slams his blades in an X-pattern, that leaves markings on the floor, causing them to explode later.
  • Forward Half/Backward Half: Jumps into a location forward/behind him, and slices the arena, leaving only quadrant behind the jumping location safe. If he jumps forward, he circles around 180 degrees.
  • Regicidal Rage: Spawns two tankbuster tethers, that explode in an AoE after a time. Both tanks need to take these away from the rest of the party.
  • Dawn of an Age: Raidwide AoE, that transforms the arena for the next mechanics.
    • Vollok/Sync: Vollok spawns swords on squares across the main platform. Sync lights up two of these squares, causing the blades to explode on respective small squares on the main platform.
    • Half Full: Slices the half of the arena his glowing blade indicates.
    • Greater Gateway: Spawns blue, green and flaming lines from the side platforms.
    • Forged Track: Spawns three blades that will travel through the main platform according to the lines they touch. Blue lines causes the blades to travel across the squares in line with the blue line. Green line does the same, but also causes a knockback. Flaming line also causes adjacent square lines to be affected as well, leaving only one square line on the edge safe. Finally, each player is targeted by a yellow pyramid, that forces each player to stand on their own square before they blow up.
    • Actualize restores the arena
  • Projection of Triumph: Summons 16 swords and two lines, one with 4 normal AoE's and one with 4 donut AoE's. These AoE's will explode on the swords, when they reach them. Two more lines are summoned after the first ones.
  • Projection of Turmoil: Summons a line from the north that travels south and gives every player a debuff. When the line touches a player with the debuff, the player explodes with stack AoE.
  • Bitter Whirlwind: Multi-hit tankbuster, that requires tankswaps or tank invulnerability.
  • Another Dawn of the Age changes the arena into two identical platforms and brings new mechanics.
    • Drum of Vollok: Targets either all supports or all DPS with a blue pair marker. When these explode, non-targeted players must position themselves, so that they will fly on to the second platform.
    • Vollok summons two large swords ranging four squares. Sync causes these to explode on both platforms. Also, each player gets the yellow pyramid. Whirlwinds will then spawn on both platforms, that can be used to fly to the other platform, but this can be done only once due to Wind Resistance Down-debuff it gives, if touched.
    • Duty's Edge: Multi-hit line stack of physical damage.
    • Burning Chains: Tethers supports with DPS, and causes damage and Vulnerability Up-debuffs, if not cut by moving away from each other.
    • Actualize restores the arena.
  • Actualize at 11:30 is the enrage.
