An underground resistance of sorts. Hiding in the shadows of the dunes, fighting against the Empire
Desert Moon is an organization in Final Fantasy Dimensions. It is a resistance group that fights against the Avalon Empire. Matoya leads the Desert Moon with Azhar as her right-hand man.
Story[]
Meanwhile, the bar owner in Gardenia, who had over-heard the secret password, betrays them and leads imperial soldiers to eradicate the Desert Moon. Nearly all members of the group are killed. Matoya and the Warriors of Darkness get to their secret hideout and defeat the Owner as well as the remaining imperial soldiers. Matoya listens to Azhar's last words and the warriors persuade Matoya to let them help her take revenge on Avalon Empire. The party then eventually encounters and faces Asmodai in his Airship who reveals he orchestrated the destruction of the Desert Moon, and of his previous affair with Matoya, much to her disgust. The group battles and fells the general after a tough battle.
Following this event Matoya recommends the group to seek the aid of the Fuga Clan of Ninja in Hagakure as they lacked the strength to face Avalon themselves and she needed time to rebuild the Desert Moon. Nearing the end of the game it is shown that Matoya enlisted the help of Bikke and his crew, as well as that of the Fuga Clan after thawing Jinnai out of Cocytus's spell. The group along with Gawain is seen battling the forces of Nil that invade the world and are successful in repelling them while the Warriors of Light and Darkness destroy the the core of Nil.
After the downfall of Avalon, Matoya passes the leadership of the organization to Jinnai as he leads the Fuga Clan into using their skills to slay monsters instead of people and thus rid the world of threats. Bikke is hinted to have defected as well, due to starting his own shipping business while Matoya donates her earnings as a Dancer for rebuilding more unfortunate locations, thus changing the organization's goal to restorative objectives.
