Zaroun (Arabic: زرعون) is a village located in the Matn District, one of the districts of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. Zaroun is situated 30 km (18.6 mi) from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The village is perched at an altitude of 1,030 m (3,379 ft) above sea level and covers an area of 116 hectares (1.16 km2).[1]

Zaroun is surrounded by pine and oak forests. The village is nestled on the slope of a shaded valley between two mountains, providing a serene environment with a humid climate for most of the year and a moderate temperature across the seasons.

The area is rich in natural resources, home to pine, olive, fig, mulberry trees, and grapevines. Its fertile land is ideal for growing vegetables and fruits. Numerous springs emerge from its depths, supplying water to its fields and its inhabitants.
