• Unfree image used to illustrate UVB-76. I raised issue with the use of this image in September but that was removed.

There are a number of problems here. Firstly is the lack of proper reliable sources which support the idea that the location shown is the site of UVB-76. There is only one source cited for the location of "Povarovo, Russia" and that is a Wired article which I suspect used the Wikipedia article as its source. So we don't have a reliable source for this specific location and the source for the more general "Povarovo, Russia" looks dubious.

As per WP:NFCC #8, I would suggest in this case, particularly since it is very unclear whether the location shown in this image is UVB-76, it can't really be said that the image "significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding".

Also, as per WP:NFCC #1, as the purpose of use is given as "To show UVB-76's transmission facilities and its geographic situation", I would suggest this image is replaceable. There is no real explanation as to why the transmission facilities couldn't be illustrated by photos from the ground and the suggestion that the site is inaccessible is questionable when there are a number of photos of the area on Panoramio including what looks like a very similar site from aerial photos about 1.2km away which for sometime was said by our article to be the UVB-76 transmission site. As for needing an unfree image to show its "geographic situation", apart from showing the apparent site is in a wooded area I don't think this aerial photo really shows much. • Copyrighted statue, FUR does not address replaceability of the actual photograph, which the photographer claims copyright to. The statue is in a public place so this image could be replaced with a photo taken by a contributor, which would still be non-free but would not infringe on the photographer's copyright.
