- Brian Cannon (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
The article is in pretty bad shape, but the subject has won a number of "titles" and such. Not being a wrestling fan, I can't tell if they are important or not so I am bringing this to AfD with the hopes that someone knowledgeable can opine (and hopefully fix the article if worth saving). I remain neutral at this time. ThaddeusB (talk) 03:21, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Not notable. Web search for "Brian Cannon wrestling" gives predominantly links to Brian Pillman, known by the nickname "loose cannon," and Brian Mailhot, who portrayed a character in WWE called "Palmer Cannon." Hideous article. Most of the pictures it uses are also pretty clearly publicity images that I very much doubt are free. The wrestling companies mentioned in the article are not notable - the only one I actually recognize is Osaka Pro Wrestling, a company that's basically famous for being a joke. Cannon has on occasion appeared for the much-more notable Ring of Honor, but not on a regular basis. Nosleep break my slumber 03:56, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- And the same search with quotes around "Brian Cannon" return a whopping 352 hits. Nosleep break my slumber 04:33, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
User:Ohconfucius has nominated the article for speedy deletion under G11. This process may be moot. Nosleep break my slumber 06:04, 12 May 2009 (UTC) Not speedied. Nosleep break my slumber 06:23, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete WP is not myspace nor a webhosting service for people's resumes. This totally unsourced, self-promotional article is full of WP:NPOV problems so bad we might as well start from scratch if it is found that he is notable. Ohconfucius (talk) 06:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- SPEEDY DELETE whoppingly not notable. JBsupreme (talk) 07:09, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete clearly not notable. Why are we wasting our time with an AFD - this is clear CSD stuff. Half of the page also looks like a copyvio. --Cameron Scott (talk) 07:13, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
