Language Emergence section

[edit]

Hi, Sam - good to see that you've gotten this section started! You'll eventually need to use Wikipedia's built-in citation function: if you need a refresher on how to add citations that way, check out the training modules (or stop by office hours). Likewise, when you want to reference other content on wikipedia (e.g. the page on Deaf community sign languages), you should do so by inserting links, rather than listing those wiki-internal pages as sources.

Right now, this section would probably score no higher than a 2: it accurately covers the fundamentals, but given how much is out there about the emergence of NSL (sometimes called ISN), there's a lot more that could go here. Still plenty of time to improve it. Matthall.research (talk) 14:12, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Significant Organizations section

[edit]

No information provided as on 9/26/22. Would score 0/3. Matthall.research (talk) 18:16, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw the new content you added - quite nice on the whole! You still aren't using the built-in citation function, so that's a target for improvement, but once that's addressed, this section would score no lower than "satisfactory". To move toward "exemplary", this section would benefit from being in more of a list-like format, where the organizations are obvious to the reader at first glance. Write now the writing style is more like an essay than an encyclopedia entry - I realize it takes some getting used to! Matthall.research (talk) 18:57, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
