Please Help Me
I do not understand why my article wants to be deleted. I already cited the article. What else do you want :(?
- @BackbiteMidnight: The sources are unreliable and the person isn't notable. Please read WP:BIO and WP:RS Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:05, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
@Spiderone you know what, I'll admit it :(. I am the son of this person, my dad didn't use wikipedia ever, so I wanted to make an article, but you keep putting deleting thing, I am a child :C :( please stop these things, I will never understand, I will only understand when I'm older :(.
Josh Tyler Page Deletion Nomination
Hi Spiderone, thanks for your suggestions on the page Josh Tyler. You're right that it needed more sources and I've added those. Those include mentions in such publications as Time Magazine and the Dallas Observer, as proof of the subject being a well known figure in the entertainment news industry. Look forward to your further thoughts on ways to improve the entry, and please let me know if that meets your requirements. I'd like to avoid having the entry deleted, as I think it's a worthy submission. --Davincih (talk) 09:26, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Davincih - hi there! I don't think that the sources, although they are reliable, show significant coverage (see WP:SIGCOV); significant coverage means that Tyler is addressed in depth and the coverage is enough to build a biography. I see no evidence of such coverage in those sources. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 22:05, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
1970s Topps
Hello, I am writing you because I wasn’t getting feedback by another individual who nominated some articles for deletion however you participated in the discussion. Unfortunately I was unavailable for the discussion. I would have preferred an improvement tag be used instead of a delete tag since it only gives you seven days to reply. I don’t have the luxury of getting here much anymore so projects went unimproved. You did state that ‘this is not what Wikipedia is for’. I have reviewed WP:NOT and can identify one possible area which can be easily remedied. Is Wikipedia for things like this. The company and it’s products are also mentioned in all forms of media, fiction and non-fiction, film, television, academic journal, law journal, and Wall Street journal. I would have liked to bring some of the more encyclopedic content to those articles. Libro0 (talk) 20:57, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
- Libro0 - from what I remember, the articles did violate WP:NOTCATALOG. Since most of these were PROD deletions, you can go through WP:UNDELETE to have them restored. For those, like 1970s Topps, you can create a draft, for example Draft:1970s Topps and see if it gets accepted through WP:AfC. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 21:31, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
Thank you! That’s all I wanted. That was the perfect response. One I had hoped to get from the nominator since I disagreed with his comments. For responding you have earned my respect and I respect your position on the integrity of the site and those that work to combat vandalism and other issues. Fortunately there now exist other wikis where this content might be more appropriate but also the opportunity to possibly rework it here. Libro0 (talk) 21:51, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
ANI
I started an ANI regarding a user you final warned a few days ago. I'd appreciate your input. Curbon7 (talk) 11:42, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

National League season articles
Good evening, So I believe all my season articles on the National League teams have been deleted. I am disappointed by this as I was fully focused on giving that league the recognition it deserves. --Skyblueshaun (talk) 18:53, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Skyblueshaun - hi, not quite. Most are just in draft space and will likely be accepted once the season gets in full swing again. What's missing from them is national level coverage from independent sources, however, many national sources, such as the BBC cover this league so that shouldn't be too hard to gather after a few games in. The three in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2021–22 Boreham Wood F.C. season actually ended up being deleted rather than sent to draft but I would advise creating these again in draft or asking for the admin to restore to your user space. Secret Club Page Deletion
Hi Spiderone, this is just a response to your deletion of the Secret Club article. You imply that I have gotten compensation for my creation and edits to the page, however I have not. I have no affiliation with the operators of the site, nor have I ever. I understand where you may have come from but it is a false statement. --SuperMug (talk) 17:38, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
WCC-FM
It appears we both took action on the WCC-FM article at the same time. I moved the article to Draftspace and you nominated it for deletion. I apologise for the edit conflict. RoanokeVirginia (talk) 18:51, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- You were right about the author moving it out of draft-space, he moved the article back and it was drafted again. RoanokeVirginia (talk) 18:55, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- RoanokeVirginia - no need to apologise! Per WP:DRAFTIFY they are allowed to contest the draftification by moving it back. At that point, the AfD should then be enforced, though, as deletion would then be an outcome that would need to be considered. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:59, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- The account has been blocked indefinitely for promotion and the page is in the draft-space. Does it qualify under WP:G11? RoanokeVirginia (talk) 19:04, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- RoanokeVirginia I have actually applied for WP:G5 per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/85.5 FOR LA. I reckon WP:G11 might apply also. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:10, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Least they could do is write something about the station, I mean, if you are going to take the time to create a user account here and fill in an info box just write an article. It may get deleted for being promotional anyway but at least you put effort into it. --ARoseWolf 19:17, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

- Epicgenius, a New York specialist, with 1083 points from 2 featured article reviews, 18 good articles, 30 DYKs and plenty of bonus points.
- Bloom6132, with 869 points from 11 DYKs, all with bonus points, and 54 "In the news" items, mostly covering people who had recently died.
- Gog the Mild, with 817 points from 3 featured articles on historic battles in Europe, 5 featured article reviews and 3 good articles.
- Hog Farm, with 659 points from 2 featured articles and 2 good articles on American Civil War battles, 18 featured article reviews, 2 good articles, 6 good article reviews and 4 DYKs.

In round three, contestants achieved 19 featured articles, 7 featured lists, 106 featured article reviews, 72 good articles, 1 good topic, 62 good article reviews, 165 DYKs and 96 ITN items. We enter the fourth round with scores reset to zero; any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Please also remember that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them (one contestant in round 3 lost out because of this). When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Another Tsistunagiska
Just letting you know there is a new user going by Tsistunagiska here. The name is rare enough but I give them the benefit of a doubt. However, if you see it pop up I didn't want you to think it is an alt account of mine or that I am affiliated with them in any way. I am not. This is my only account. --ARoseWolf 12:55, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- ARoseWolf - thanks for the heads up! You know what they say about imitation and flattery. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, well, I could settle for less flattery (lol). I have them watchlisted just to keep an eye on them more so for curiosity. I don't own the name so they are free to use it. I did want to let those closest to me know so if it ever becomes more than what it is I have notified others who know me. I would never create another account without a significant purpose and I would notify everyone first and have it stated on my user page. --ARoseWolf 13:14, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- ARoseWolf - I think you're certainly outside suspicion here. If you were going to create a malicious sock account, it would be foolish to use your old name and then alert loads of other users about it. :) Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:40, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Well, I did create a sock puppet once but it was actually a sock. I put lipstick on it. Gave it green glitter eyes. Then I made butterfly wings for it and turned it into a sock fairy. I-M-A-G-I-N-A-T-I-O-N!! :) --ARoseWolf 13:47, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

- Well, that didn't take long. I grew up in Italy too, well, 11 years. I have no interest in altering or changing any dialect, pronunciation or accent within the Italian language or any other language on Wikipedia. I learned Piedmontese and Roman Italian much like I learned the differences between the French spoken in Provence and that spoken in Paris. What I don't particularly care for is their use of my mother's name when they, very obviously, have no connection with my Cherokee heritage. Why that name if you are going to discuss Italian related issues unless they knew I had an Italian background? Very suspect. I am a member of Italian projects on Wikipedia so I guess they could have seen me there when I used my mothers name as my user name here. I am a bit unnerved by it all, tbh. --ARoseWolf 15:23, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Also, if you type (User:Tsistunagiska/) in the search bar it still attributes some of the pages to me and links to my sandbox articles. I may need to say something to clarify but I'm holding back for now. I'm watching and if anyone tries to attribute then I will say something. --ARoseWolf 15:34, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- ARoseWolf I agree that that's a good call for now. I imagine that it isn't nice to see the name being abused like this. The closest thing I've had on here is people vandalising my user page. Not really comparable, though, as 'Spiderone' has no personal connotations for me. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 15:38, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- I watch quite a few user pages for vandalism. Mostly I may move a conversation from the top of a talk page to the bottom or from the user page to the talk page but I try to watch out for those I have become fond of here. No on deserves to be disrespected. I think they may have just come across my name somewhere and thought it would be cute to create a sock. Someone may even overlook their comments if they did make a connection, albeit in error. --ARoseWolf 15:41, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Nomination of Dancehall Macarena for deletion
Hello and thanks for your feedback on Dancehall Macarena.
The main reason for creating this article is because it is recognized as the first official Jamaican line dance. Line dancing is a major part of pop culture and dance culture. Although Jamaica is a smaller country, it's culture and artistes still deserve inclusion, as reggae, dancehall, Rastafarian, etc. has come to influence pop culture around the world. The song has significant popularity on YouTube, and media coverage out of Jamaica.
We should be dedicated to the inclusion of musicianship from ALL genres and cultures. Many earlier Jamaican artists did not have the same access as pop artists in the US and therefore their notoriety is more organic among the people, artists that are household names in Jamaica.
- Maricalinn1 - if, as you say, this has significant media coverage then please cite reliable sources showing this. I couldn't find any reliable news sources or music sources covering this. Please read WP:RS for what counts as reliable. Spotify, Instagram, YouTube and iTunes are unacceptable sources. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 09:56, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Spiderone - 1.6 million views on YouTube is significant. I have also listed Jamaican media outlet references from Jamaica Star, and others. I only used iTunes to verify the proper release date. This is a popular dancehall song, in actual dancehalls/Jamaican parties, not just on paper(or internet). Dancehall in itself is a form of roots music, underground music, and as a genre is still an infant in mainstream, only just gaining worldwide recognition in the 2010s.
- Maricalinn1 - I strongly disagree with 1.6 million views being significant. In this day and age, it certainly is not. The Jamaica Star article is fairly brief. Is there anything else? Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 11:23, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Spiderone - there are five refs there. This is based in 2015 Jamaica, almost a decade ago, not today. Is five ok?
- (talk page stalker) Reference 6 looks like significant coverage. I'm not sure about the editorial process of the Jamaica Star but it is their entertainment section which should be taken with a grain of salt. Reference 4 seems to be mostly a reprint of reference 6 so I'm not sure that would be counted as intellectually different. Reference 3, again Jamaica Star, seems to be more about the artist himself though it may not be considered independent because much of it is just the artists opinion about himself. The others do not seem to show significant coverage or I am not sure about their reliability. I agree with Spiderone that popularity does not equate notability though it doesn't hurt. 1.6 million views of a YouTube video is not that significant though, especially a music video. --ARoseWolf 14:00, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

Sutton
Hey, how's it going? I just read that you're a Sutton fan; quick question: what are your thoughts on Omar Bugiel? Is he good enough to play in L2? What's his style of play for Sutton? Just asking since he's a (sporadic) Lebanon international :) Nehme1499 15:57, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Nehme1499: hi there! Doing well, thank you. Hope all is well. Bugiel is a great player and we sort of build the team around him. I strongly suspect he'll be making his way back into the Lebanon squad! To be honest, I keep forgetting that he isn't English as he's playing in England since I can remember. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 16:27, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- Nice to hear. Hopefully our new coach will find a way to integrate him back into the squad (I suspect he wasn't being called up due to the COVID restrictions in the UK). Nehme1499 16:38, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
By the way, I think it's a good idea for you to apply for WP:AUTOPAT. Nehme1499 21:33, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
