The Telegraph obit is almost certainly wrong. Let's see if they change it, and if his birth name turns out to be Winston E. Springer, you heard it here first. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:43, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Edit on Bert Carless

Hello! I fixed a typo on Bert Carless and only then I saw the template "This article is actively undergoing a major edit for a short while." Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Deltaspace42 (talkcontribs) 20:18, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

Pull coords from Wikidata?

Hey Andy, many happy returns for the other day. Can I get the infobox at Peace Statue, Brighton to pull the coordinate location directly from Wikidata? The bridge infobox (which reminds me, you might like Chetwynd Bridge and High Bridge, Mavesyn Ridware which aren't far off your patch) seems to do this automagically but apparently infobox artwork doesn't. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:50, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

@HJ Mitchell: Thank you, and the same to you.
See [16]. Undoubtedly, this could be baked into the template, as it is for bridges, but given the (unreasonable) sensitivities about using Wikidata on en.Wikipedia, it'd be best to ask for consensus, first.
Nice bridge articles. Yes, both are not far from here, and on my list to visit. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:54, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Andy! I knew there would be a simple way without duplicating it! Let me know if you get to either of the bridges; both could do with better photos. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:27, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, Andy, but I've never been entirely convinced that WP:BITE applies to how we interact with professional shills. Still, I will keep your advice to mind. In the meantime, thanks for all you do here, and have an excellent holiday season. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:50, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

@Orangemike: Yes, I can tell, which is why I said you - and others - need to read it. And using the derogatory term "shill" to describe a good faith enquirer is also unacceptable. Merry Christmas. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:10, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
