Watching ...

I have been watching and worrying about you since last Christmas, Bil, but keeping my head down. You are an exceptional man; it is hard to understand how worried you and your family must be; first to donate and then hit the coronavirus pandemic. You don't need me to tell you to take every possible precaution, but I am telling you.
Do not take any risks!
All the best, Gareth.

A tag has been placed on Mesodinium (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The toilet is notable; the school isn't. I've officially seen it all. John from Idegon (talk) 20:49, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

No, you didn't say that, it's just a succinct description of all those schools you nominated a couple days ago. It's accurate and struck me as funny. John from Idegon (talk) 21:45, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
LOL, John from Idegon... I thought perhaps I had meant to write, "The town is notable, but the school is not", and perhaps had gotten distracted by a "Scrubbing Bubbles" commercial. New content added in Chasten Buttigieg page

Hello Onel5969, I am wondering why you reverted Chasten Buttigieg to a redirect stating "Nothing new in this article since AfD closed as redirect" when new content has, in fact, been added. Chasten Buttigieg just published his first book which has received substantial coverage in a large number of major news organizations, some of which were used as new sources. This coverage has been focused on him and his book, not his husband. In addition, his well known status as an activist has received significant coverage besides just his relation to his husband, much of which has happened after the presidential campaign concluded. Together it is clear that, at the very least, the redirect discussion should be reopened; as authors which significant coverage, which Chasten now is, are considered notable enough to have their own pages. Thanks. WestCD (talk) 22:48, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Just because new stuff has been added, does not mean that the underlying rationale of the prior AfD does not still pertain. The only reason his book got noticed was due to who is partner is. If the book is still being written about after a few years, it will be significant, and then he would qualify under WP:NAUTHOR.Onel5969 TT me 23:36, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Onel5969, that's generous of you, but the only way this would have been done automatically that I can think of would be to have Twinkle set to warn automatically (that's not the default setting), and to have used the red Rollback Vandalism option - which wouldn't really be any better than applying the template manually in my view. GirthSummit (blether) 05:19, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

I will report action of moving the art. as it was done without any communication with the author. Please await conclusions. It is not correct to redirect to Danielewicz family as it is missleading. There is no one family with this surname but many. Mind the WP:3RR rules Camdan (talk) 10:31, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
What you are doing is called a WP:CUTPASTE move, which is not allowed on WP. You must request that the title be moved.Onel5969 TT me 12:09, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Im the author of the art. "Danielewicz". Then, it have been redirected to "Danielewicz family" by Staszek without any notice! Im just trying to reverse that action. Do you mean that anyone can redirect this art. without any notice but me, the author of the art. can not do so? This is not first time Staszek change with obsession art. names adding "family". We had long issue on that few years ago and he got no support for this action. Now, he do it again, he never learn. So...I need to take this forward and waste time? Why not revert to what it was from beginning - then write on talk page and then suggest to redirect - and give me also chance to make some objections and why I dont think it is good idea? Regards,Camdan (talk) 14:32, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
First of all, have no idea what you mean when you say, "I'm the author of the art". Do you mean you created the article? If so, then please see WP:OWN. Also, you've now been repeatedly told that what you are attempting to do is called a cut and paste move, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. All of your other arguments are moot. If you disagree with how the article is currently titled, you can request it be moved at Wikipedia:Requested moves.Onel5969 TT me 12:38, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Ok, I understand what you mean with cut and past move. Repeatedly means second time, I did not get it first time since i have not been edtiting for long time. Sorry for that. What I ment is that I created the art. and if someone wish to redirect or make significant change, it should be notified - at least on Talk page? Thank You for the link to the move request, its usefull. Regards, Camdan (talk) 16:43, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Whats your opinion on Wanga Kingdom return based on sources that passed WP:GNG

Most of the content cited in the article include the following sources1,2,3, 4, 5, 6 ,7 ,8 9 and 10 that make most of the content which was the article. what's your opinion in recreating the same from publicly available sources that pass WP:GNG such as these above. These sources alone without any reference to copyrighted material pass to make an article to pass WP:N. These are genuine reliably referenced sources all in the public domain and clearly detailed to reliably reference the article. The sources that constitute copyrighted material constitute free license use material that were not properly declared on the article previously. --waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 13:37, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Waweruboy - without looking too deeply, I think it would pass notability criteria. However, you must refrain from putting copyrighted material onto WP. That will get you blocked from editing.Onel5969 TT me 15:10, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Hey there! I'm leaving this message here to notify you that I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from The Quiet Room (2018 film), which you proposed for deletion. As I explained in an edit summary on the aforementioned article, I would concede that some of the sources present in the article do not qualify as significant coverage, but I nonetheless believe that the references to articles published by Dread Central, Billboard, and Rue Morgue provide sufficient justification that the article meets WP:GNG. If you still think it should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}} back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Hi, I see you reverted the page I wrote for PMCI WG[1]. Can you tell why? This page was prepared by the WG itself to create a framework for all the standards developed by it (NC-SI, MCTP, PLDM, SPDM).

References

Hi. As I said in the edit summary, there is no indication of notability. See WP:GNG on what denotes notability. Simply because something exists does not make it notable. In addition, Wikipedia is not a place for advertising a product. Onel5969 TT me 12:38, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Eliel Louzoun (talk) 08:29, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Eliellou, this topic really isn't in my lane. You might pose a question on the talk page of the computing project, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computing. Onel5969 TT me 11:48, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer. While I agree there isn't much on PMCI as a group, there is a lot more on the protocols developed by this group (MCTP, NC-SI, PLDM, etc.). The intent of this page was to provide an umbrella for all these protocols and describe how they connect one to the other and create a coherent management system. Is there a way to get a discussion on the notability issue, so that we can reach an agreement?

Draftifying

I found myself at User_talk:Maxeto0910 to leave a note about stubs, and for some reason had a look at Draft:G. G. Anderson which you'd draftified as "Undersourced, incubate in draftspace ". It has a couple of substantial magazine articles about him, and there are articles in five other wikipedias such as de.wiki. In fact this English version is better sourced than most. By draftifyiing it you also wasted the work of the editor who created a redirect from his alternative name Gerd Grabowski (and there may be more - according to de.wiki's discography he used several names). In short, I wonder if you were overhasty in draftifying this and would encourage you to reinstate it. PamD 09:45, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi PamD - long time no "speak" . Of those two articles, one is an interview, which is considered a primary source, and therefore doesn't go to notability. The second article consisted of three short paragraphs, so felt it was very poorly sourced. Additionally, very little in the draft was actually supported by either article's content. I felt the article has merit (which would be indicated by its appearance in 5 other Wikis, as well as the content of the two existing sources); it does not meet English Wikipedia's standards either for references showing notability, or references verifying content, or for footnotes; and even though it had a little correction recently, it hadn't truly seen any improvement in over a month. I felt that it was pretty much a poster child for draftification. Perhaps I'm missing something. I know I'm not infallible so feel free to move it back into draftspace, if you feel that is warranted.Onel5969 TT me 12:34, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

CSD a7

Actually, unless something's changed, you can. The only reason to remove the CSD tag is if the article asserts significance, a lower standard than notability --Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:38, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Might have been better to let an admin detag. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:40, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Deepfriedokra... just that I've seen that rationale used numerous times to remove CSD tags on articles in AfD.Onel5969 TT me 01:14, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
If there is some question of notability, then there is significance. I've declined such iffy A7's myself, believing the AfD would give a purer result. In this instance, I think not, but would have liked a second admin to decide. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 01:26, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
I understand your point, Deepfriedokra, I'm just saying that I've seen dozens of speedy tags added to articles which were already at AfD, and in every single instance they were removed, due to the fact that they were already at AfD. Neither AfD nor CSD state an opinion on this matter. Although CSD does state, "If an editor other than the creator removes a speedy deletion tag in good faith, it should be taken as a sign that the deletion is not uncontroversial and another deletion process should be used." Since it is already part of another deletion process, one might say this has already occurred. Maybe either CSD or AfD should clearly state what the proper procedure should be in this instance, such as WP:PROD does, "It must never be used simultaneously with a deletion discussion". Hello, I see that you have undid my revision on the page Ezra Bridger. Please note that the article was still in the process of completion. Hi Hey now, you're an editor - The place to work on articles, wherein you are not going to have a basic article in a day or two is in draft space. Alfonso Sancha

Hi, Onel5969, I really appreciate your contribution and I think that together we can make Wikipedia really collaborative. I've been collaborating for some time on articles about motoring and automotive that I'm interested in and like. In addition to the historical part I think it is important to have the people who are currently outstanding in their work in the automotive industry. I have contributed with two more references to show that he is a remarkable person. Just as in the world of cinema and entertainment most of the members of the sector have an article in Wikipedia, I believe that the automotive industry must also have a place. I have received the notice that gives me the possibility, after improving the article, I can remove the template, but I wanted to communicate all this procedure before doing so; because I think it is necessary to respect the work of all wikipedians. Shibutanis Pages

Good morning,

Please do not revert my edits on the pages for the Shibutanis. The person that created the merge page for the Shibtanis also tried to create a merged page for Meryl Davis and Charlie White that I just reverted this morning after the unnecessary merge came to my attention. These retired ice dance teams are now going on their separate paths, and the figure skating community has been complaining about this merge and how it impacts Google search results for months. Not all page merges are necessary – this is definitely one of them.

Nine dots puzzle

Hello. This was intended as a WP:CONTENTSPLIT from thinking outside the box, as it looked to me like the classic puzzle had a strong, standalone pedigree beyond its connection to the 1970s management jargon. Happy to start a talk page discussion if this is contentious, but be aware that I removed some unnecessary detail from the original article as part of the split, which should be restored. --Lord Belbury (talk) 15:26, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Lord Belbury, Hi. I was using the rationale as per WP:SPLIT, in which case there was no need for a separate article. I don't think it's contentious, and another reviewer might see it differently. Onel5969 TT me 17:10, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

You may be right, more references are worthwhile, but please see the Danish original. I visited a wp-meeting (in Germany) and it is quite usual translate articles. This was much work, you may imagine. I think the Danish books named in the Danish original will not help the English readers; of course it is or possible to add them.

And there are many articles in wp that need references, but they are not removed to draft room. From my point of view the removal to draft is too hard. The putting of the citation box is much more useful. So please undo the removal.

Last but not least I'm no employee of Bang and Olufsen, and hifi is not my business, a hobby. (It is strongly discouraged to write about yourself or your own business ... does not apply)

Kind regards, --Wikisympathisant (talk) 16:33, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Wikisympathisant, I agree, the article is about someone who does meet notability requirements, but that's why I put it into draft, so that it could be worked on. Sources do not have to be in English, so by all means add them, and then we can move it back into the mainspace. Onel5969 TT me 16:38, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for your fast answer :-).
@Onel5969:Sorry, the information is in the article, please see chapter literature. I guess, bibliography would be a better word, wouldn't it? KR, --Wikisympathisant (talk) 16:50, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Wikisympathisant, The title of the section is really a matter of choice... but I'll move it back to the mainspace, although it really could do with more and better references. Onel5969 TT me 16:54, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Onel5969 Thank you again for your fast reaction. I'm unfortunately not a native English speaker, the wording should be common and/ or handy. Please feel free to amend if necessary. More references are everytime welcome. KR, --Wikisympathisant (talk) 17:16, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Wikisympathisant, well thanks for your contribution. I've rarely done translating into other wikis... I think only about 10 or so articles, and almost always at the request of someone from that other wiki, who then "held my hand" through the translation process. Keep up the good work. Steve Fox

You reverted my edits without explaining the reasons. I added notability to Steve Fox. The reason given for first redirect was not having a reference other then gaming sites. I added references to the page. But, you reverted my edits. --Rocky Two Belts (talk) 19 September 2020 (UTC)

I was pretty clear, there is no real world notability, meaning all the refs are in-universe.Onel5969 TT me 17:07, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Steve Fox is main character of Tekken series. Pages of side characters like Christie Monteiro and Craig Marduk are pretty much like this page. These pages exist on this merit, why? --Rocky Two Belts (talk) 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Rocky Two Belts, there's a lot of crap on WP. That's an WP:OSE argument. Onel5969 TT me 17:18, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks man, that's really helpful. By the way, if you bother to checkout that there was a real world reference about the actor who played the character of Steve Fox in the live adaptation of the video game. --Rocky Two Belts (talk) 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Bubsy: Paws on Fire!

I noticed someone tried to make the page for Bubsy: Paws on Fire!. The user even included some sources. However, you changed it back to a redirect. How much more is needed to make it an article? 172.250.44.165 (talk) 20:46, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from Hannes F. Wagner, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}} back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!

Looks like Twinkle did its occasional annoying thing and didn't create Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hannes F. Wagner. Did you still want to go through with the AfD? AleatoryPonderings (talk) 16:46, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
AleatoryPonderings, dang. Yes. I'll take care of it. Onel5969 TT me 16:49, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Looks like the same thing happened with Cristian Ristea? AleatoryPonderings (talk) 21:37, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

The Essential Link: The Story of Wilfrid Israel

Hi Onel5969, you chose to remove the list of notable screenings while allowing to see them in the film's website. This is problematic, because of two reasons: 1) We want the film's Wikipedia entry to be similar in all of its three language appearances (Hebrew, English and German). 2) The film website may not always be there, or be accessible. It happened in the past that the website went down for quite some time and we didn't know it. Why should the public be refrained from knowing the most relevant places in which this film was screened when wishing to assess and/or be impressed by its importance and/or relevance? I would like to ask you to reconsider and bring back the list as it appeared originally. On further notice, I find it difficult to understand why it is so important for someone to remove/"fix"/correct somebody else's work. This wouldn't be the case if there were errors, mistakes, or intentionally fake news in it. But obviously, this is NOT the case here. Ophirbaer (talk) 09:41, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Ophirbaer, well first I would ask who is the "we" you speak about. It would appear that you have a WP:COI issue with the article. Please see the rules regarding Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. What you want has no bearing on what can be put on Wikipedia. WP is not an advertising platform. Onel5969 TT me 12:08, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Onel5969, Since you asked, I usually use "we" in order to be modest and not talk about myself as the reason for something. In this case, I used "we" also because I represent a team of VOLUNTARY 'memory agents' for someone who died 77 years back, after personally saving and being involved in the saving of many many thousands of people. His story was either never told or completely forgotten. WE came to change that. He was not a family member, nor does telling his story have ANY commercial intention. It's all about spreading a story WE believe, has universal values. That was and still is the intention of the film we created. Indeed the Wikipedia is not an advertising platform, but it is, so I still hope, the best place to get correct and immediate information for educating the general public. Just like for other feature films, people detail the cast and nobody blames them for "advertising" the actors, a list of major screenings is nothing but a quick way to allow the readers to get some impression of the quality of the film. It doesn't conflict with any of the Wikipedia principles. And if it is not clear from the above, there is absolutely nothing to do with PAID-CONTRIBUTION. I'm in this project for the last 10 years, and haven't received a dime, for the THOUSANDS of hours I've put in so far. That's why I care. I hope you understand. And I'm still waiting for you to bring back what you deleted. Ophirbaer (talk) 07:36, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
Ophirbaer, hi. Yes it is an interesting story, but WP does have some guidelines and policy. One of them is WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Part of the reason is to prevent exactly what you are trying to do. Lists of non-important stuff (and when I say non-important, I'm talking about to an average reader, not an ardent fan or supporter), do not belong on WP. You could return a shorter list, comprised of only those that have WP links, like UK Jewish Film Festival, as long as you provide an independent source showing the film was screened there. Simply linking to the Documentary's website is simply advertising. The same is true about the folks who were interviewed. Irrelevant to the average reader. I've also taken a look at the Wilfrid Israel article, which is woeful shape in terms of referencing. Please remember that anything which is uncited or not cited by an independent, reliable source, can be removed at any time. And once it's removed, it shouldn't be re-added with that sourcing, as per WP:BURDEN. I hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 13:27, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
Onel5969, no this doesn't help. It seems like you're using existing WP policies, where they are not really relevant. You're talking about the "average reader", but there is nothing like it, when it comes to a topic like the one I wrote and edited. Nobody will get there, unless s/he is very interested in this subject. Having had to do a lot of research on my own, at some points, I wanted to get any possible information I could get in order to cross-reference and validate resources and stated facts. The WP is not made of physical pages in which, MAYBE, your statements would make sense. You took the liberty to reduce and remove information which was in anyway quite scarce, only because you have the power (and obviously the time) to do so. No, it's not OK, and it doesn't help. It's abusing what the WP is really standing for, and what it should be serving. What you call non-important stuff may be very important to people who are doing researches and sometimes need just an "occasional lead" to tie a person to something that nobody knew they were associated with. It would have been different if there was any suspect of anything commercial about what I'm doing. But there's not. It's all for the sake of history and knowledge, and you are sabotaging it. Sorry for the use of words, but this being not the first correspondence we have, I allow myself to state it, based on your answers and deeds. --Ophirbaer (talk) 09:38, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Ophirbaer, obviously, you are a bit confused as to what WP is, and what its policies and guidelines are. Onel5969 TT me 11:43, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

ZIO Article Submission Decline

Hi,

I'm writing because I would like to know why my article has been declined. The only connection that I personally have with the article is that I was on the conference where I took the photo of the creator of ZIO - it was the only photo that I have copyrights to so that's why I used it. Could you please explain the problem? I would like to make all the adjustments that it needs, but first I need to understand the problem.

Hi I see you’ve proposed this article for deletion. I don’t know much about martial arts but it looked reasonably sourced to me and I just wondered what prompted you to propose it? Thanks Mccapra (talk) 14:11, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Mccapra, while reasonably sourced, they are all the sort of routine sports coverage one sees, nothing to show notability. The question then became whether or not he passes WP:NKICK. None of his fights meet criteria 1, and he doesn't meet criteria 3. The issue with the SN is that it doesn't clarify what constitutes a major publication. It was deprodded by the rationale, "he was ranked in the top ten by a two major publications, Combat Press and Liverkick". However neither of those magazines has a WP, so I felt they did not qualify. That being said, since it was questioned, I left it for other reviewers to take a look at, since I don't know how authorative those magazines are. If they are indeed major publications, then he does qualify, if they are not, then I don't think he does. Onel5969 TT me 14:18, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I share your view of the issue re the sources and the ambiguity. Anyway always useful to know what other reviewers are thinking. All the best Mccapra (talk) 14:22, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Mccapra, absolutely. And by the way, thank you for all the work you do on WP. Also btw, I just AfD'd an article that you had earlier redirected for not being notable, but you were reverted... keep up the good work. Onel5969 TT me 14:29, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

List of people from County Maeth

Hi there,

You recently changed List of Meath people to "List of people from County Maeth". This is the incorrect spelling for the county, Meath.

Can you please amend this.

Jacobfrid, Done. My dyslexia was showing through, thanks for catching. Onel5969 TT me 11:57, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Wikidata can't link to a Wikipedia redirect; it goes to the target instead. But in instances where the the target is different, and a Wikidata item exists, the redirect must be temporarily disabled to allow the linking. Once done, the Wikipedia redirect can be restored. (These are found in Category:Redirects connected to a Wikidata item.) Anyway, that's just background info, and I was able to link Dance studio before the revert. Senator2029 “Talk” 10:14, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Senator2029, Sorry, I didn't see that you had just made the edit, and might still be working on it. Just saw that the redirect had been blanked. Onel5969 TT me 10:17, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Richard Tucker

Was there any discussion before moving Richard Tucker to a redirect? Anything informing project opera? Nothing wrong with a disambiguation, but could the name still be the article name of one of the greatest singers ever? What if we had some Maria Callas (actor) - would we move Maria Callas? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:47, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt, hi. No, there wasn't. I didn't think it was a controversial move at the time (not a huge opera fan). But I definitely see your point. I'm slogging through the disambiguations I created and am about 2/3 done. But feel free to revert to the original article title if you feel strongly about it. Onel5969 TT me 12:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
You invested a lot of work, but I do think he's the primary topic. If you see that also - which the sheer number of links could tell - you please revert the move. I wouldn't revert you without a discussion but wouldn't know where to start one, with this confusion of talk pages. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:56, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, this is a tough one for me, since I've just put in all that time dabbing, but I don't disagree with your thinking. Another experienced editor has already looked at the move, and didn't question it, simply changed the dab in the title from (opera) to (tenor), which is indeed better. While he most likely would be considered the primary, I don't think there's harm in leaving the dab. If you want to start a discussion on the talk page of the tenor page, I'll of course abide by the consensus, and take it upon myself to undo all the dabs. Onel5969 TT me 13:02, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
How is this: you stop dabbing, make Richard Tucker a redirect to the singer, instead to the dab page, and await discussion. I'd begin at project opera, later today. - (In the past, we had someone moving Siegfried (opera) to Siegfried (Wagner), who changed all the links and expected help with that nonsense.) - Next time you move an article with so many incoming links, please go via WP:RM, or at least consult with the project(s), - or just leave it as is. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:10, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, Sounds fair. One thing though, what I discovered was that out of the 160 or so links, about 30 of them incorrectly redirected to the tenor. Onel5969 TT me 13:15, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, and I've just changed the redirect Onel5969 TT me 13:16, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, one last note, I will definitely take your advice to heart and check on incoming links more diligently in the future. Onel5969 TT me 13:18, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for finding the wrong ones, and the change of redirect! One last note: one per ping per thread is usually enough for me ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:22, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Eric.c.zhang, I did review them. But I did not flag them for anything. Onel5969 TT me 03:14, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I tagged them as I felt they could be trimmed down to make them more encyclopedic. Things like the fine details of the date structure sounded more promotional rather than adding information people would come to Wikipedia for. I'm not great at copy editing myself though. -Kj cheetham (talk) 10:08, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello Onel5969. Reverts on Changes in Sahaj Marg & Heartfulness Meditation pages

Hello Onel5969,

I noticed you have reverted my changes on Sahaj Marg and Heartfulness Meditation pages made yesterday, with comment given as "Rev cut and paste move". Can you please give more details on the reason as I did not understand exactly? If your concern was that the changes were made by cut/paste of large text, then yes actually I spent hours crafting the wiki text of the article on a text editor before, and then I cut/paste that on the page, as it's just easier to edit in a editor like Notepad++. Also these changes were discussed in the talk pages of both of these pages, in fact since almost 1.5 yrs ago. Please note the practice of Sahaj Marg is more popularly known as Heartfulness Meditation now and there are plenty of good verifiable secondary resources are available, hence the need to swap the content and redirects between the two article. I am not a frequent user so have a lot to learn, your guidance on how we should approach this changes will be much appreciated. Xiantec (talk) 18:39, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Xiantec, Hi. What you did is what is called a "cut and paste" move, which is not allowed on WP. That's a hard and fast rule, and has to do with preserving historical attribution. I thought I put a link to the policy in the edit summary, but here it is again, WP:CUTANDPASTE. What you need to do is ask to have the current redirect deleted, and then move the existing page, Sahaj Marg, to Heatfulness Meditation. I hope that helps. Onel5969 TT me 20:49, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Onel5969, Ok now I get it, thank you for your guidance. I have added the move request on Talk:Sahaj_Marg, can you help with this request please? Xiantec (talk) 18:07, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Xiantec, if the discussion you started appears to support the name change, let me know and I can take care of that for you. Onel5969 TT me 19:03, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Onel5969, Thanks for the quick revert. Yes there is support for this move from other users, as far back as since last year. Recently another user suggested the same as you did i.e., to move the page, after I made the cut/paste blunder :). There has been no opposition to it, as seen in the Talk:Sahaj_Marg page. Xiantec (talk) 19:20, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Xiantec, I understand that, but you've made a formal RFC now, so we have to let folks respond. If no one does within a week, then we can take the prior comments into account. Onel5969 TT me 20:24, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Color Classics redirects

Hello Onel5969,

I see you have redirected the pages I made to the Color Classics article. Dare I ask why you have done so? --ZanyDragon (talk) 23:06, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

ZanyDragon, as I said in the edit summaries, they don't meet notability criteria.Onel5969 TT me 00:01, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

How does an article meet "notability" criteria? And how could I make those articles meet said criteria? --ZanyDragon (talk) 05:18, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

ZanyDragon, well, read WP:GNG in order to understand notability. There is nothing you can do to make something meet notability criteria, it either does or it doesn't. The key is are there enough sourcing from reliable independent references to show it passes WP:GNG. It is doubtful these will ever meet the criteria. Film shorts rarely do. Pre-election pendulum for the next Australian federal election

@Onel5969 Why did you revert my edit to the Pre-election pendulum for the next Australian federal election? In case you are not aware, the 2019 AFE has already been held, so the page in question should not redirect there. A new pendulum needs to be added for the upcoming election (on or before 2022). I presented preliminary information for that page which you unfortunately removed. If I do not hear back from you I will revert your edit as you've provided no explanation for it. --Mrodowicz (talk) 14:02, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

@Onel5969 Could you please repeat that in English? I have no time for games. --Mrodowicz (talk) 14:08, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Mrodowicz, It is in English. What about wholly uncited do you not understand. It's pretty simple. Onel5969 TT me 14:15, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Onel5969 What is it exactly that you would like me to cite - that the 2019 election ended 16 months ago and therefore the redirect page no longer applies? I struggle to comprehend your logic here. --Mrodowicz (talk) 14:22, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
