Greetings to all Page Watchers and Editors,
I contribute to Wikipedia in a public relations role, using this account to assist the Wikipedia community by suggesting improvements to the articles about the organisations that I represent. Where necessary, I also highlight and report inaccuracies and erroneous information concerning the organisations that I represent.
Global University Systems - The pages I monitor and contribute to
[edit]I work for Global University Systems, which is a group that encompasses a growing network of private higher education institutions in the UK and internationally.
I monitor and contribute Edit Requests to the following pages: University of Law, GISMA Business School, London School of Business and Finance, St Patrick's College, London, University of Applied Sciences Europe, London College of Creative Media, Arden University, IBAT College Dublin, University Canada West, and Global University Systems.
If any information is required by Editors to improve a GUS-brand page (within Wikipedia guidelines), and the information is not published notably; please contact me via this talk page and I will look to help provide the sourced information required. Again - this is only to be done in-line with Wikipedia policies and is not to be promotional.
My Conflict of Interest
[edit]I will always openly declare my conflict of interest should I need to do any work on behalf of any of the other institutions within the group. I never edit directly and instead only make Edit Requests on each page.
My time as a Paid-Editor of Wikipedia has taught me a great deal of the rules and policies, though I am still learning. Experienced Editors have been very patient in advising and informing me of my mistakes re: Wikipedia policies. However, as I learn I am hoping to demonstrate a positive working relationship with Wikipedia and Editors, improving pages without compromising policies of Wikipedia:COI, Wikipedia:Verifiability, and Wikipedia:Notability.
My Working Technicalities
[edit]I am a full time employee and I am not paid based on the number of hours that I spend on Wikipedia. Contributing to Wikipedia is one element of my full-time job, but not the only one - and therefore my salary is not affected by the amount of time I spend working with the Wikipedia community. I will update this information should the situation change in the future.
Please feel free to contact me via my talk page if you have any questions or suggestions about my contributions. I'm not always online here, but I am usually available to answer questions on Wikipedia from Monday to Friday, during office hours (08:30am to 5pm GMT). I will try and get back to you as soon as I can.

A bowl of strawberries for you!
[edit]A small token of appreciation for suggesting improvements whilst being respectful of our conflict of interest and paid editing policies. Many other users could benefit from your example. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:33, 17 July 2018 (UTC) |
@Drm310: - Thank you so much for this considerate gesture! It has certainly been a task getting to know the policies of Wikipedia but it is heartening to see pages improve whilst getting along with the community and complying with the rules. Thank you again - MrAttempt (talk) 08:09, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Edit requests not needed at COIN
[edit]There is no need to routinely post edit requests to WP:COIN. The purpose of the page is to "determine whether a specific editor has a conflict of interest (COI) for a specific article and whether an edit by a COIN-declared COI editor does not meet a requirement of the Conflict of Interest guideline". Also, it "should only be used when ordinary talk page discussion has been attempted and failed to resolve the issue". Thank you. ☆ Bri (talk) 15:33, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi @Bri: - Thank you for letting me know. I've been making the routine posts to ensure I do not come across as having covertly edited pages. I will discontinue posting on the COI noticeboard - apologies for the inconvenience. With thanks - MrAttempt (talk) 15:37, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
