Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of monarchs of Finland may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of High Kings of Ireland. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Not only is your Anglicization of the names of the kings against consensus, but you are very close to WP:3RR. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:26, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Family tree of the Malaspina family, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. @Diannaa: Hi! Thank you for noting this, but how am I supposed to know who edited the part that I've copied? That would take me ages to search in the page's history. If I understood the rule right, then maybe the problem would be solved if I rewrote the text that I copied. It's probably better, right? Thank you for your advice! Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 17:20, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to specify the individual editor. Linking to a list of all contributors is considered as adequate attribution. The list is available in the article history. Therefore an edit summary that says where it was copied from and to see that page's history is considered adequate attribution. Here is an example of how to do it.— Diannaa (talk) 18:26, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Diannaa: Thank you, but I've already changed the text. Thank you anyway. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 18:49, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 2022

Information icon Hello, I'm InvadingInvader. I noticed that you recently removed content from Calakmul without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. InvadingInvader (talk) 21:29, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@InvadingInvader: Hi! I just moved the content to the page Maya rulers (I redirected it on the main article link). There the list of Calakmul rulers is more complete, and you can access to the rulers of other Maya cities too. You just have to look for the city to see its rulers. It wasn't a mistake, and it's true, I should pay more attention to description of changes. Hope you understand the move! Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 22:12, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know; please do try to leave edit summaries though. They really help identify and distinguish reasonable moves or deletions away from vandalism. InvadingInvader (talk) 22:43, 2 August 2022 (UTC) InvadingInvader (talk) 22:43, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Preview, consolidate, summarize

[edit]

Hello- Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 00:39, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Regency and Governors

[edit]

Please stop hopping to random Wikipedia articles and adding governors, viceroys, and/or regents everywhere you go. I do understand the significance, however your edits have taken up ridiculously large amounts of room. Please discuss with other users BEFORE making such drastic edits, but if you feel very strongly, at least use the plainlist tool to collapse your absurdly long lists of people ({{List collapsed|title=See list|). Hi @Gazozlu:! Sorry, I forgot that there was already a page named County of Leiningen and changed my mind. Mhmrodrigues (talk) 14:31, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can copy paste the existing article into your sandbox and edit it there without disruptions whenever u want and then paste it back into the main article in one big edit when you are mostly done. Might be handy for what you are trying to do. Gazozlu (talk) 14:34, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Counts

[edit]

If somebody wants to know who the count of Cerdanya was in any given year, they should be able to find that in the county of Cerdanya article. And in a simple list. Why would you force them to scroll through a colour-coded table that mixes everything up? It makes no sense. Srnec (talk) 20:20, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! @Srnec: Sorry, you can revert. I just hope you're not saying that my table is useless, because I lost a great amount of time doing it right. I just think that, with the list in the Cerdanya page, it kind of makes the Catalan counties' synthesis table unnecessary. Hope you understand my point of view. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 20:24, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Don't worry, I won't mess with the table. Srnec (talk) 22:27, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Duke of Silesia

[edit]

We were editing Duke of Silesia at the same time. I abandoned my edit so as not to mess up your work. Please be aware that under the requirements of HTML5, the old markup bgcolor=xxx should be replaced with style="background:xxx"; in this markup the quotation marks and the pound sign (#) before hexadecimal colors are not optional. Also, the old markup align=xxx should be replaced with style="text-align:xxx"; in this markup the quotes are not optional. Also, when both alignment and color are listed, they have to be merged into one style, e.g. style="text-align:center; background:red" This happened only once in this particular article, but you may have removed that item. Anyway, I spent a long time fixing all of these items and had to abandon it, so I leave it to you now. Anomalocaris (talk) 00:20, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anomalocaris:! Sorry! I forgot to put the edit notification above... Unfortunately I have always edited the way I do and I'm not well aware of these new rules. I'll abandon the page now. If you want, you can do the edition again. Note: if it is a long edition, I advise you to put this sign below, to avoid edit conflicts (as I should have done)
Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 00:27, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just before I was going to save, I did a Show changes and from that I saw it had already been saved, and I didn't want to stomp on the changes you had already saved. Go ahead and do what you want to do. It would be great to use the HTML5-compliant markup, which the article already does to a significant extent anyway. I'll come back in a few days and clean up again if needed. —Anomalocaris (talk) 05:16, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Anomalocaris: Hi! Thank you for your understanding! If you insist, I'll check again. In fact I was thinking in adding more content. Don't worry, when I finish I'll tell you here. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 17:33, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have already fixed the table cell alignment and color markup. It should not be difficult to follow the pattern. Kindly change markup like bgcolor=#aba to style="background:#aba". —Anomalocaris (talk) 21:29, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adalbert II, Margrave of Austria

[edit]

Hello Mhmrodrigues, I noticed that you added "Adalbert II the Devout" to the list of rulers of Austria (in this edit). He has no article, and I wasn't able to find any other information about him. Based on my information, I doubt he existed. Can you tell me where you found out about him, or where to find anything on him? Kornatice (talk) 02:58, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Kornatice:! Thank you for you question. Have you tried to access his Commons page I've created as well? There you'll see at the side the wikis which have information on him. You may need to translate (as I did). From there you can also go to his Wikidata page/element, that I give you here as well. You can also search for him in the Medieval Lands site, which has citations for documentation. Adalbert the Devout is an elder son of Leopold III, which died a year after his father (in 1137), and that's why I think he might have been overlooked in traditional lists. I saw that some sources say that he has been excluded from succession but they don't present justifications for that. What if such exclusion was invented by later sources to justify the traditional succession from Leopold III to Leopold IV? I don't know as well. If he is confirmed as margrave, he would be one of the shortest reigns in Austria. If you have any more questions please let me know! Have a nice weekend!
