Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. TEDickey (talk) 22:34, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The 2 or 3 CDPs/towns I added to the "principal cities" list on the DC metro area article are not "original research" whatever on Earth that even means honestly... it takes 2 seconds to pull up enough information to see that FREDERICK maryland has LESS people than Germantown maryland and is FURTHER away from DC than germantown. I'm adding them back tbh. Not accepting this weird reason to censor FACTS Delatour1 (talk) 22:51, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unless you're intending to make up your own definitions, "principal cities" happens to be the term defined by the Office of Management and Budget. You might take the time to read WP:RS, and the relevant sources. TEDickey (talk) 23:54, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
