Please be so kind not to remove it anymore. I am placing it back, please do not get into an edit war over this. You could end up being blocked from editing for that. Thank you, Polozooza (talk) 21:10, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You also might... Apdency (talk) 18:40, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For your consideration

[edit]

In the famous Indo people picture gallery I see a writer named Marion Bloem. Closer examination teaches me that her parents where Eurasian who moved to the Netherlands in 1950 after which she was born in the Netherlands. If Wilders cannot be in the Indo people article, then neither should she. The same can be said of Louis Couperus, who was Dutch-born to a mother with Eurasian roots. Wilder's comes from a similar background and is of a similar ancestry. Either include, or exclude them all. In which case some suitable Indo people have to be found to replace their images with. In the meantime, I am putting back the image of Wilders in the page of Indo people (he is also on the Dutch article in a list of famous Dutch people of Indonesian roots). I have no intentions whatsoever to remove the edits of someone else or to engage in an edit war, but I honestly believe I have a valid point here and wish for your opinion on this.

Kindly awaiting your reply, Mythic Writerlord (talk) 19:00, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I'd rather (again) refer to the comments I made on Talk:Geert Wilders#Indo. Please read them there. Marion Bloem's story is a very different one, not in the least because her life is intensely and openly connected with Indo life. Also note the disclaimer preceding the list in the Dutch article you mention. Apdency (talk) 19:29, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Many of the people in this list of "famous Indo's" simply have Indonesian blood, like Wilders. They do not, however, have the Indonesian nationality, most weren't born there and some are not even connected to Indonesian culture (which hardly excists, because Indonesia is made up out of hundreds of different cultures and ethnic groups on many different islands). I have read your comments on the link you gave, but I stand by my opinion. I can see no reason in which Wilders ancestry is so much different then many of these other people. And, also, Wilders is mentioned as an Indo in the Dutch article with a list of famous Indo's, and also on other wikipedia's. Mythic Writerlord (talk) 19:37, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Moved discussion to Talk:Indo_people#Any_Indo-icity_fit_for_a_gallery.3F. Apdency (talk) 09:51, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inuktitut

[edit]

I changed the source for the Bible translation as the News North one seemed to have more information. Also I added a bit about it being Inuit translators as I'm not sure how much of the Bible was done by others such as Edmund Peck and John Sperry. Thank you. I'm glad with the changes. I only have shallow knowledge on this subject. Apdency (talk) 19:59, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gretta Duisenberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conspiracy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Marker Wadden revisited

[edit]

Hello I.H., maybe you gathered it already, but the Marker Wadden project has returned in the news lately. The contractor for the 1st phase has been awarded, it's Royal Boskalis Westminster. Many news media in the Netherlands paid attention to it, and also sources in other languages picked it up. Here is one of them. Next week, more details of the deal will be made public. These developments might encourage you to ask your article back (as deleted in 2013) or make a new start. But I don't know if you're still interested in the subject. Apdency (talk) 11:30, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. How did you know I wrote that ? Actually I was surprised by the way that article was deleted. At the moment there is nothing on the Duch page. Perhaps we just have to wait. Also sometimes they are still talking about the markerwaard. Regards and thank you for the link.
I just realize you also write on the Duch page. Why don't you add the link there ? --Io Herodotus (talk) 07:17, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Reacted on your talk page. Apdency (talk) 09:35, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I thought your name ringed a bell, I also remember talking to the person who created the Dutch article, but I didn't make the link between the two, sorry. Now the Dutch article has many references. About the markenwaard somebody sais people still talk about it and even gives a reference. Do you think it would be possible ? In that case the Marker Wadden would only be in the north. Regards. --Io Herodotus (talk) 10:35, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
