I messed up on creating a talk page. I'm new to attempting to contribute, but that doesn't mean I'm up to nefarious deeds. I actually don't even know what a "talk" page is; thought it was a place to let the site know my areas of expertise- apparently not. Still, I don't think that warrants a newbie block. As for my username, I thought of it a few months ago and am beginning to use it in several places because nobody else has it and I can keep consistency. It's partly a street address! I mainly wanted to contribute private jet and yacht photos to pages that are lacking. Thought that was the purpose of wikipedia. Feel free to delete the talk page if I did that wrong, but don't block me as a user. That's not warranted. Let me know. Thank you.

Hi Huon. That's a good question. Thanks for asking instead of auto-speed-banning. The not so scientific answer is that I always try to avoid the word "I" because it's too self-centric (seems even more so when one is making points as an educator- as in "My name is Dhrams and IIII am the end all be all of speed-auto-banning newbs.")

Ironically, I read an article today about people using the word but CAN'T FIND IT AGAIN!!! That's disappointing because it was so accurate and would have answered your question perfectly!

Anyway, if wikipedia is a true encyclopedic world, it shouldn't include "we" OR "I". It also shouldn't include pages that allow contributors to talk about themselves. Usernames should be anonymous and the only contributions should be limited to facts about topics and there should be no recognition for the contributors who added the information. True facts should stay; false facts should be deleted; opinions should be deleted. The only recognition would be citing sources to give credit where credit is due and to avoid plagiarism.

That's it. Too much time has been spent on justifying myself. Enjoy the rest of your day. And thank you again for asking a pertinent question as opposed to speedy-auto-banning. It was much appreciated and leaves me with a better impression of at least a segment of wikipedia editors.

Or maybe, just maybe, you were trying to use Wikipedia to promote your company called "5813 Ventures"? Your idea that "True facts should stay" seams bad to me. There are like millions of facts that are true, but not all of them are NOTABLE enough to be in an encyclopedia. And, by the way, what do you think about advertisement? You editors seriously amaze me. "Your idea that "True facts should stay" seams bad to me." It seems COMPLETELY relevant to me Vanja. "True facts" as opposed to FALSE facts. See? My point has been exemplified yet again. Some of the editors on here are so set on playing Wiki-Gods that they pay attention to the wrong words. Would I be editing "The aircraft was gray" to "The aircraft was light gray" just because it is a fact? OF COURSE NOT because it is not notable. BUT, would I edit "The aircraft was gray" to "The aircraft was red" if in fact the Fokker flown by Manfred von Richthofen was red? You bet I would because that is editing a FALSE FACT to a TRUE FACT. And for your advertising question, I don't mind you taking credit for your contributions by having your screenname attached to it. Or are you saying all contributions should be masked with no attribution? I'm fine with that too. Remove your name from EVERY contribution you've ever made to this website. You are advertising yourself via your brand represented by your screenname. Anything that identifies you is advertising. When you make a good contribution, you are advertising yourself as a good editor. But, every time you make a bad contribution to wikipedia, (and can't see the difference between TRUE facts and FALSE facts), you are advertising that you are a poor editor. Hence, my extreme displeasure with this narcissistic set of editors (both notable and true fact). Again, my apologies for picking a screenname that nobody else had.

• I think you do not understand how Wikipedia works. When I say that you have to change your username, that is not because I don't like it, but because it violates our WP:Username policy. Following official Wikipedia policies is not optional. Also, when I say that you are using Wikipedia to promote your company, I'm talking about you violating our WP:SPAM guideline. Promoting yourself as a good editor is, of course, allowed, but promoting your company is not. That is a clear rule. As about attribution, every edit must be and is attributed to the user who made it. That is one of the main rules of Wikipedia (see: H:PH). For editors, this group contains some of the worst bunch of readers I've ever encountered. I understand why you are continuously blocking me. As Ohnoitsjamie so politely pointed out, it's because of my "non-notable company" screenname. But to clarify once again, it is a non-existent company which is why I haven't changed the screenname. If I ate a lot of pizza and decided to use the screenname pizzainc, would that be disallowed because of inc? Is this disallowed because I used the word ventures? Maybe pizza is also disallowed; didn't read that part of the guidelines. If this was a business, I understand I could put my name and at before it. I read that part of the guidelines. But again, it's a non-existent business rather than a non-notable business which is why I have not requested a screenname change. The fun of wanting to be a contributor is being completely drained. (true fact)
