The HMT Diamond was a dazzled troopship built in 1915 as a troopship but when it was completed in 1918 she never entered service because World War I had already ended. She was still kept as a dazzle ship for her colors. The ship struck a unexploded torpedo in 1920 and was beached on the Isle of wight. She was pulled out and continued service until she was scrapped in 1947 due to the rusty hull plates which unfitted the ship and worried her builders. So she was scrapped October 1 1947.
Her funnels
[edit]The HMT Diamond was built with originally 2 funnels but in 1917 during her first launch she was canceled and refitted to four funnels. She was refitted to 3 funnels in 1932 along with a new paint job.
