February 2023
[edit]- Piper Rockelle: nominated at AfD; notified ThisKidEditz (talk · contribs) 22:39, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The subject has only received in-depth coverage from reliable sources in connection with allegations of wrongdoing against her mother. (Coverage in the Los Angeles Times, Atavist magazine) The article currently contains personal information based on low-quality or promotional sources. Since the subject is a minor, I suggest deleting this article, without prejudice to the creation of a different article about her mother or her mother's production company.
- Mani (web series): nominated at AfD; notified Taffychannel (talk · contribs) 16:57, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:GNG. The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline give Mani the barest of passing mentions; all the other references are primary and non-independent. I looked for additional sources and found nothing useful. Cheers,
- Dick Smothers Jr.: nominated at AfD; notified 141.149.42.79 (talk · contribs) 13:23, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:BASIC / WP:ENT. A contributor to the previous AfD said that major American newspapers had run articles about Mr. Smothers. Those were duplicate copies of this Reuters human-interest story. I looked for additional sources and didn't find much. Here's some trivial coverage of his band [1][2]; his father mentioned him in an interview [3]; a National Post article about the children of celebrities included a paragraph about his family situation [4].
- Daisy Taylor: nominated at AfD; notified Willthacheerleader18 (talk · contribs) 20:05, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:BASIC and WP:ENT. Please note that many of the cited sources are NSFW.* Refs 1 (Apple Podcasts) and 4 (Podchaser) are podcast interviews.* Ref 2 (XXXbios) is a fan page on a sketchy website.* Ref 3 (Grooby) is a pornography website.* Refs 5 and 7 (IAFD) are database entries.* Refs 6 (AVN) and 9 (TEA) are award rosters. The awards don't count towards anything now that PORNBIO has been deprecated.* Ref 8 (AVN) is an article in the pornography trade press recapping an award ceremony. This is the only cited source that might count towards the GNG.The article on the Spanish Wikipedia doesn't include any better references. A WP:BEFORE search turned up press releases and mentions of other people with the same name. Cheers,
March 2023
[edit]- Ricardo Cerna: nominated at AfD; notified 203.125.109.131 (talk · contribs) 01:14, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Warning: the article contains a graphic video. Please see WP:BIO1E. This article focusses entirely on Mr Cerna's death; he is not otherwise notable. WP:NEVENT requires in-depth, sustained coverage of an event to demonstrate its lasting significance. The sources currently cited are:* 1 (Los Angeles Times): Local news reporting from around the time of the incident.* 2 (Deseret News) and 5 (St. Petersburg Times): Brief syndicated news items.* 3 (San Bernardino Sun) A mostly unrelated article with a short paragraph of background information about the police officer wounded by Cerna.* 4 (Alex O'Meara) A work of fiction.A contributor to the previous AfD suggested a few other sources: the KESQ one is another contemporaneous local news report and the Press-Enterprise ones are permanent deadlinks. I looked for additional sources and found a brief mention (2 sentences) in the book Dying in Full Detail: Mortality and Digital Documentary.[5]
- List of David Gandy's magazine photoshoots: nominated at RfD; Target: David Gandy (notified); notified Emir of Wikipedia (talk · contribs) 22:27, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The article used to contain a list of magazine photoshoots, but it was removed in 2019.
- Julia Wilhelm: nominated at AfD; notified Yoleanor (talk · contribs) 20:04, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:NAUTHOR and WP:NPROF. Refs 1, 2, and 4 are her own writings; ref 3 is a local newspaper article about her becoming head of a folk high school. The works listed in the bibliography are an essay published in a collection of student papers, a master's thesis, and a dissertation. A WP:BEFORE turned up more routine local coverage in connection with her role at the folk high school. Cheers,
- Gil Filar: nominated at AfD; notified Jeltag-the-Ferret (talk · contribs) 02:22, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:NACTOR. Mr. Filar is a former child actor. While he has a substantial number of film and television credits, these appear to have been minor parts. I looked for sources and found various mentions in cast lists, plus some more recent interview comments by a Canadian restaurateur who may or may not be the same person: [6][7][8][9].
April 2023
[edit]- Sylk Magazine: nominated at AfD; notified Alphag33k (talk · contribs) 18:42, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: A defunct online-only lad mag. The sources are all garbage. (Note that ref 2 (Fleshbot) is NSFW.) No sign of WP:NMAGAZINE or WP:NWEB notability. Cheers,
May 2023
[edit]- Inmates: nominated at RfD; Target: The Inmates (notified); notified Virginia Bell (talk · contribs) 21:30, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: I suggest retargetting to prisoner and adding a hatnote there for The Inmates.
- University Scholars: nominated at AfD; notified MonikerOfWisdom (talk · contribs) 15:22, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a gifted-and-talented programme offered by Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School. I don't think the programme has stand-alone notability; and a redirect to the charter school wouldn't be appropriate because there are many similarly titled initiatives at other institutions. Cheers,
- Template:Precocious puberty and pregnancy: nominated at TfD; notified Omniscientmoose42 (talk · contribs) 00:42, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This navigation template contains a small number of loosely related articles. Taming Strange involves a male fictional character with precocious puberty and does not mention pregnancy. País do Desejo involves a fictional 12-year-old victim and does not mention precocious puberty.
- Jean Dubuis: nominated at AfD; notified Sanmarcos (talk · contribs) 03:43, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The references are Mr. Dubuis's own writings and other such primary sources. I looked for better ones and found only self-published or dubious-seeming books on alchemy and esoteric spirituality.
- Category:YouTube controversies: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Miraclepine (talk · contribs) 15:39, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This category mostly contains individual YouTube personalities who are deemed controversial for one reason or another. Their categorisation here violates WP:SUBJECTIVECAT. I have two suggestions: #Remove the articles about people, channels or videos, leaving behind only the articles about controversial incidents or aspects of YouTube (e.g., YouTube and privacy, Blocking of YouTube videos in Germany, 2011 Slovenian YouTube incident). #If the resulting category is too small, upmerge everything remaining to the parent categories and delete.
June 2023
[edit]- User:Arado Ar 196/Userbox/Illegal UBX: nominated at MfD; notified Arado Ar 196 (talk · contribs) 11:18, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This userbox says "This user supports left-wing extremism", with a piped link to left-wing terrorism. WP:UPNOT forbids statements that "seem to advocate, encourage, or condone" acts of violence.
- Category:Trans women: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Trans women-related topics; notified Solar-Wind (talk · contribs) 20:27, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: group nomination, will merge in a moment.
- Category:Trans men: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Trans men-related topics; notified Solar-Wind (talk · contribs) 20:27, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: group nomination, will merge in a moment
July 2023
[edit]- Andy Lee (actor): nominated at AfD; notified Lara Abrahamson (talk · contribs) 01:09, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- Tanner (actor): nominated at AfD; notified Sixtomovierter2004 (talk · contribs) 15:39, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- Category:Designated Hate and Extremist Groups by The Southern Poverty Law Center: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Oldbaymd (talk · contribs) 20:48, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Similar categories have invariably been deleted or listified at CfD:*Category:Hate groups and Category:Hate groups in the United States: 2010 discussion*Category:Organizations designated as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center and Category:Organizations designated as hate groups by the Anti-Defamation League : 2011 discussion*Category:Organizations designated as hate groups by the SPLC: 2014 discussion*Category:People targeted by the Anti-Defamation League: 2017 discussion.
- Category:Religious controversies in opera: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Music controversies; notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 22:13, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: group nomination, will fix in a moment
- Category:Race-related controversies in opera: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Music controversies; notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 22:13, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: group nomination, will fix in a moment
- Category:Opera controversies: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Music controversies; notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 22:13, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: group nomination, will fix in a moment
- Category:Religious controversies in stand-up comedy: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 01:53, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Please see WP:SUBJECTIVECAT and WP:CATDEFINING. The category contains biographies of various comedians deemed controversial, rather than stand-alone articles about instances of controversy.
- Category:Race-related controversies in stand-up comedy: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 01:58, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: I've decided to make this a group nomination. I'll merge the noms in a moment.

August 2023
[edit]- List of people in Playboy 2010–2020: nominated at AfD; notified Dismas (talk · contribs) 02:48, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Please see WP:NOTINDISCRIMINATE. This is a bunch of unsourced or poorly sourced trivia. (There are also lists for previous decades; depending on how this AfD goes, I might nominate them for deletion as well).
September 2023
[edit]- Eric G. Phillips: nominated at AfD; notified PhillipsFamily (talk · contribs) 13:41, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The article contains only primary or affiliated sources; I looked for additional references and found one profile in the Santa Barbara Independent.
- Tennis Arthur: nominated at AfD; notified Hamtrane (talk · contribs) 17:04, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Please see WP:PARTIAL. None of the entries on this disambiguation page are actually known as "Tennis Arthur".
- Kentucky Equality Federation v. Beshear: nominated at AfD; notified Commonwealth1333 (talk · contribs) 00:07, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This is one of a WP:Walled garden of articles related to Jordan Palmer (social activist). He has claimed credit for bringing same-sex marriage to Kentucky based on his involvement with this case. As I understand it, though, Bourke v. Beshear was the key Kentucky marriage case.
October 2023
[edit]- Senators of the 39th Canadian Parliament and same-sex marriage: nominated at AfD; notified Formeruser-82 (talk · contribs) 22:38, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The Civil Marriage Act was passed in the 38th parliament in 2005. This is an WP:OR attempt to predict how the senators of the 39th parliament would have voted in 2006, given the changes in membership between one year and the next. (There is a related AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Senators of the 38th Canadian Parliament and same-sex marriage.)
May 2024
[edit]- Category:Possible physical damages through anal sex: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified CanonNi (talk · contribs) 23:36, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Please see WP:OCASSOC. The medical conditions included in this category have a variety of causes; their possible association with anal sex is not a defining characteristic. (I was alerted to this questionable category by a note on my talk page.)
June 2024
[edit]- Category:Phobias: nominated at CfD (CfS); splitting to Category:Phobias, Category:Prejudice and discrimination; notified Bryan Derksen (talk · contribs) 20:16, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This category contains both anxiety disorders such as claustrophobia and forms of prejudice such as mormonophobia (a redirect to anti-Mormonism). I would like to remove the latter from this category and place them instead in (appropriate sub-categories of) Category:Prejudice and discrimination.
August 2024
[edit]- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Runaway Guys: nominated at MfD; notified ThingsCanOnlyGetWetter (talk · contribs) 10:13, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a recently created copy of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chuggaaconroy.
- Lisa Lee Dark: nominated at AfD; notified Lisa Lee Dark (talk · contribs) 18:40, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article is based on interviews or publicity material in which the subject makes various claims of extraordinary musical ability and success. There are no reliable sources independent of the subject for these claims.
October 2024
[edit]- Peter Chapman (murderer): nominated at AfD; notified SmokingNewton (talk · contribs) 21:13, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: The crime received some contemporaneous news coverage but I don't think it meets the lasting significance standard of WP:NEVENT.
