Edward Anderson death
[edit]Good morning. I wanted to reach out to you as I am a descendant of Stinson Anderson, his son Dewitt being my great grandfather. The date on Stinsons son Edward's gravestone is July 22 1862 and matches national archive records also showing death at Jackson Tennessee, 95 miles from Ft. Donelson..
The Ft. Donelson battle was in February 1862. It is my speculation that battle wounds possibly resulted in a later death but I doubt he was killed in action at the battle. I assumed he may have lingered in a hospital and succumbed to issue with the battle wound or contracted some common disease.
Either way, thanks for your research on my ancestors!! 2603:8081:7903:A800:68E7:6A0D:7479:60B7 (talk) 14:20, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
