Inaccurate "History"
[edit]Reaction Motors did not exist until 1941--not 1930.Magneticlifeform (talk) 04:33, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, this article needs a lot of work. It's quite poor. Probably the author was thinking of the American Rocket Society, which is where the early engines were developed, before some of them incorporated Reaction Motors.
- The reference to the death of DeHavilland is also odd, that was about swept-wing instability (tip stalling and pitch oscillation is a problem you have to address with swept wings). It was powered by a turbojet. So it's unclear why it would have daunted people working on a straight-winged rocket plane. DonPMitchell (talk) 04:28, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
