Is it worth mentioning that "Mare Nostrum" is an imperialist term, used by Italian fascists in the same way as "lebensraum" by the Nazis? Seems a very dodgy term for a project aimed at keeping immigrants out of Europe. Gymnophoria (talk) 11:40, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Mare Nostrum is a Latin term, it`s a name the Romans gave the mediterranean under the rule of Pax Romana and when all land around the mediterranean was part of the Roman Empire (fe. the piracy was wiped out by the Roman fleet).-- 213.147.166.116 (talk) 21:57, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
