Incorrect link about balancing
[edit]It appears the link to balancing is incorrect. Based on the context of the sentence with respect to balancing, I would assume Khachiyan's work was related to matrix balancing, not networking balancing. However, Khachiyan's work on linear programming would have application to network balancing (I think). In short, I find the article ambiguous on what his contribution was with respect to balancing.

- Khachiyan wrote on matrix balancing, which is useful in matrix iterative analysis (DAD theorems) and statistics (RAS algorithm, sic., for log-linear models): See Bapat and Rhagavan's Nonnegative Matrices for background and for research see Khachiyan's papers with Kalantari, etc.
- You are correct that his work has (theoretical) applications in communication-network balancing. Thanks, Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 15:42, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
