Pic. of Cartridge.

[edit]

A picture of the cartridge would be helpful. 68.116.99.78 (talk) 23:25, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. The media would be nice. Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 22:11, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have some that I can take pictures of and upload them. Larry.kamons (talk) 20:27, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I used one for a couple of years and still have the unit and some cartridges. I am happy to supply information and made a couple minor edits. There is a comment that they were not reliable on some music device. I have no knowledge of that. I can tell you from personal experience that they were extremely reliable. It was a great solution for the time at a fraction of the cost of a floppy disk. Larry.kamons (talk) 20:42, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Other uses

[edit]

I once encountered an old desktop word processing system that had two of these wafertape drives. All it did was word processing. Had a base unit about the size of a PCjr, monochrome monitor sat on top and it had a separate keyboard and printer, branded to match the main unit. (May have been daisy wheel type.) The owner didn't have a manual and only had one tape so I wasn't able to get it to work.
