[edit]With all do respect, I just want to say that as the author, I disagree with the deletion of this page because I know for a fact that Derek Roddy is one of the most well known and recognized drummers in today's extreme metal scene. I will agree that the article is short and needs improvement and expansion. But if you need me to do so, I will add his Discography, his equipment, his endorsements, drumming style, and biography tomorrow.
I agree with the previous comment. Derek Roddy is one of the most well-knowm and proficient drummers in the extreme metal world, and therefore should have a page on Wikipedia, just like Gene Hoglan, Chris Adler or Tim Yeung. Joost de Kleine (talk) 12:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
For a while there has been no response to this discussion. The article has been extended quite a bit. Therefore i have deleted the notice saying this article should be deleted. Joost de Kleine (talk) 23:56, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- As you were notified on March 27, it is not appropriate to remove the article for deletion notice during an active debate. This does not end the deletion discussion, but may thwart process by preventing people from being aware that it is ongoing. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:03, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for deleting the notice. I considered the discussion closed, as the article was extended, and there hasn't been any response for a while. I don't see any further reason for deleting this article, though it was a bit rash deleting the notice. Derek Roddy, though not well-known among a wide audience (but hey, Brutal Death Metal in general isn't either, nor is e.g. drummer Tim Yeung), is worthy of a Wikipedia page. I probably didn´t do it the right way, for which I am sorry. I´m still learning! ;-) Joost de Kleine (talk) 22:20, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
