Green Line Aviation/96th Branch Has Wrong Western Terminus
[edit]Hello. Can someone please fix where the final destination is on the Green Line Aviation/96th Branch? It currently says towards Redondo Beach. Can someone please fix this, so the information on Aviation / LAX (Los Angeles Metro station) will be correct? Thanks. 71.198.231.208 (talk) 02:59, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
Name of the station
[edit]Having visited the station yesterday to check out the new Aviation/Century station, I've noticed the new "Aviation/Imperial" name being used both by automated train announcements as well as by Metro train operators at Aviation/Century station to direct riders along the new service patterns. Despite this, I don't believe that Metro has officially renamed the station yet; their official maps still displays the station's name as "Aviation/LAX", and the station signage hasn't been updated yet to the new name (the current signage is still a mixture of outdated "Aviation Blvd/I-105" and "Aviation/LAX"). It merely appears that the train operators are simply utilizing/testing the final announcements to be implemented upon the opening of LAX/Metro Transit Center station, and presumably to also help riders gradually adapt to the new name of the station. Nonetheless, since the station hasn't been officially renamed as of yet, any attempts prior to the opening of LAX/Metro Transit Center station to rename or edit the page to implement the new name are all premature. - https://www.metro.net/cklines/ explains that when LAX/Metro Transit Center station opens Aviation/LAX will be renamed to Aviation/Imperial. It’s because, for the time being, this station remains the primary transfer point to the LAX shuttle buses. RickyCourtney (talk) 05:56, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
