Attachmate is selling patents?
[edit]Ars Technica reports that "Novell has sold over 800 patents for $450 million to a consortium of technology companies organized by Microsoft."
Actually, after reading the boston.com article, I see that they agree with me, but they do say it with bigger words...
Novell also said it has entered into an agreement for the concurrent sale of certain intellectual property assets to CPTN Holdings LLC, a consortium of technology companies organized by Microsoft Corp., for $450 million in cash, "which cash payment is reflected in the merger consideration to be paid by Attachmate Corp.," a company press release said.
I'm just a casual visitor wondering who Attachmate is so I won't edit a currently hot topic but this should be fixed. 173.184.67.52 (talk) 23:18, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Largest?
[edit]Cut this from article: "It is the largest privately owned software company in Washington (U.S. state).[citation needed]"
By what measure can Attachmate be the largest software company in the state that is home Microsoft? --83.89.0.118 (talk) 17:58, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Did you miss the part about "privately owned". Microsoft is publicly owned. 61.25.199.225 (talk) 00:50, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
