Name
[edit]I admit I did not know that his name was Andron. I assume that the article is titled "Andrei" because that's the name he is best known under, but can you put something in the article explaining the discrepancy. The way things are laid out now, it's somewhat confusing and is just begging for more ignorant editors (such as myself) to make the same corrections :)—Ëzhiki (erinaceus amurensis) 21:21, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
Andron is a pet name used only within a family and certainly couldn't be a name given at birth. It is used by broad public by mistake, as Konchalovsky himself pointed out more than once. I tried to correct the information, but failed, due to the rollback made by Weegeerunner. User:Grigur — Preceding undated comment added 18:37, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
Surely he is Andrey, not Andron. As he states at his website (in Russian): "I was called Andron by my grandfather. And when a journalist calls me Andron, I want to biff on his nose. I am Andrei Sergeevich:" [1].IgorMagic (talk) 09:46, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
