Lodestar vs Ventura

I suspect the picture used in the article is actually a Lockheed Lodestar and not a Ventura, even if the file name of the photo refers to the image as a Ventura. The Ventura had a dorsal turret, while the Lodestar did not. The SAAF flew both Lodestars (ex SAA) as well as Ventura's. Farawayman (talk) 16:13, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

6498 is indeed a Ventura, see SAAF Meseum inventory. I believe it was converted to a transport version, requiring the removal of the turret. It is ex USAF Bu 49474 and ex RAF JT867 if you want to read more on it.
The plane just visible behind 6498 in that photo is the Lodestar in this photo
