Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (The information shared is very true and turning blind eye to the ISLAMIC hooliganism will convert the world into ISLAMIC world. People should get true information and stop this ISLAMIC terrorism) --2003:86:AD35:F985:40B2:2020:2D53:E618 (talk) 18:51, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article is now entirely rewritten Nizil (talk) 22:02, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

[edit]

This page is not neutral in its content. It says for ex that Islamic Mob created the ransom which is untrue. Anything Islamic cannot create mayhem.

Right, that's why the neutrality of the page is marked as an ongoing issue. The page is also not protected so there is nothing stopping you from editing the article to address this issue. Curro2 (talk) 09:38, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Move suggestion

[edit]

There have been small and large incidents violent and otherwise in response to Kamlesh Tiwari's remarks. I suggested that this page be moved to "Kamlesh Tiwari's remarks" or the like so that all such incidents could be covered. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 05:40, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly did Kamlesh Tiwari say? It is not mentioned in any Wikipedia article what he said. Without that information what is the point of creating a separate article? J mareeswaran (talk) 08:43, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Picture under Protests and violence section

@Bongan® →TalkToMe←

Can you tell us where did you get that picture. I'm not sure, but it seems this picture is taken from somewhere else. The burning SUV has a number registered in Bihar and the red blue color combination of number plate suggests that it is a police van. Now the state is West Bengal and the police station which was attacked was obviously from this state but the burnt vans are from Bihar Police? I didn't understand this story. Also, this picture contains election symbol of a political party. It may affect neutrality.

SUV fire by muslim mobs
@Omg56: This image available in Wikimedia Commons. I think you don't know where is Malda .1. Malda share half of border with Bihar, Jharkhand & Bangladesh. This Image place of Malda National Highway 34 (Google Map)connected North West Bengal to South West Bengal each other many north east state people use this route. 2. In West Bengal side all passenger vehicle are private service and many bihari people work also. 3. Yes van registered in Bihar BR16b0148 . 4. After muslim riot in Malda ABP news documentary show same two Burned van video in National Highway 34 (100% Proof). 5. Google Image search result show same image but low quality Proof not a Police van but van in Malda. 6. west Bengal & Bihar Police they are use police jeep not van. 7. my opinion this vehicle some bihari person came for job or may be. 8. water mark it doesn't matter. Bests. --Bongan® →TalkToMe← 17:01, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You wrote everything but main point is wrong. Police van is widely used in WB. You should know that in WB and Bihar, civilians can only use white (ordinary) number plate or yellow(commercial), a red blue number plate is authorized for the police vehicle only, mostly Bihar police use it and very rarely by WB police. I hope WB police has not reached to that condition that they need to hire vehicles from Bihar police. So, all your story doesn't have any ground. It is very much clear that that picture is not at all connected to the relevant incidence hence should be removed immediately.
I got a page which will not definitely tell you about the authorization issues on red blue number plate but contains an indication that who can use those number plates. Kindly read http://www.telegraphindia.com/1140528/jsp/jharkhand/story_18387703.jsp#.VqeRGL1X7qA Omg56 (talk) 15:01, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi :@Omg56:, I think you asking wrong point. Main point is this van burned in Malda riot(2016 Kaliachak riots) or not. If you see my 4 point ABP news documentary show this same two Burned van in National Highway 34 . If van is Burned than obviously number plate also. my 5 point Google Image search same image but low quality and other ref. abplive.in,zeenews.india.com show number plate is burn and color is change but black grey yellow not red blue. I call senior users to take a final decision for this topic @Kautilya3:& @Utcursch:. Thanks--Bongan® →TalkToMe← 10:19, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked the uploader on Wikimedia Commons to provide a source. Once we have that, maybe we'll have some clarity for further discussion. utcursch | talk 14:58, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What Kamlesh Tiwari's remarks were is never mentioned

[edit]

What were Kamlesh Tiwari's actual remarks that sparked the violence? That part is missing from the content. This is what Kamlesh Tiwari allegedly said: http://zeenews.india.com/news/india/this-is-what-kamlesh-tiwari-said-about-prophet-muhammad-which-infuriated-muslims_1833716.html There are several incomplete references. Thanks.

Change of article name

[edit]

According to multiple sources[1][2][3][4], it was not a riot but a violent incident triggered by narco mafia. So name should be changed to 2016 Kaliachak violence. User:Che12Guevara 20:16, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
