Marvdasht County (Persian: شهرستان مرودشت) is in Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Marvdasht.[3]
History
[edit]After the 2006 National Census, the village of Kushkak rose to city status as Ramjerd.[4] Kamfiruz-e Shomali Rural District was separated from Kamfiruz District in the formation of Kamfiruz-e Shomali District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Garmeh Rural District.[5]
After the 2011 census, the village of Khaniman was elevated to the status of a city.[6] After the 2016 census, the villages of Faruq,[7] Fathabad,[8] and Zangiabad[9] became cities.
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 294,621 in 69,244 households.[10] The following census in 2011 counted 307,492 people in 83,641 households.[11] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 323,434 in 94,699 households.[2]
