Alejandro Casaseca Muñiz (Granada, Spain, January 10, 1976) is a Spanish actor, director, screenwriter. His career has developed mainly in film, television and theatre. He is known, among others, for his performances in the series The Boarding School.^[1][2][3][4] from Antena3 - Atresplayer - Netflix - Prime Video as José Antonio "Toni" Fernández, Monzón in the series Malaka^[5][6][7] from RTVE - Max - Disney+ - DirecTV, Martos in the film Rec 2^{[8] [9][10][11]} by directors Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza, Jaime Torres in the international Hollywood production There be Dragons^[12][13][14] by director Roland Joffe and Gitano in the film Swinled^[15] by director Miguel Bardem.

He is the fourth of five children. His father was a lawyer, surveyor and public works engineer who practised politics as a Deputy in the Congress of Deputies and in the Parliament of Andalusia, as well as a professor at the University of Granada. His mother was a housewife and a co-owner of a well-known bag and fashion accessories store in the city of Granada, and she is also a descendant of the "Pérez" family, originally from Santiago de Compostela, which once founded Banco Olimpio Pérez, the which eventually became Banco Gallego^[16]

In 1997, despite his good grades, he abandoned his Law studies at the University of Granada. The enormous vocation he has for acting led him to make this drastic decision and settle permanently in Madrid to train as an actor at the internationally prestigious Corazza Studio for Actors, where Juan Carlos Corazza was a teacher.

In 2000, while still a student, he got his first job as the main character, Pícolo, in the first web series in history, La Cuadrilla Espacial, cast with actors such as Paul Naschy

In the early years (2002 - 2004) of his career, he participated in television productions of recognized prestige, such as Periodistas, Aquí no hay quien viva^[17], One Step Forward or Lobos, acting with the actors Santi Millan Álex Angulo, Belén Rueda, Malena Alterio, Laura Pamplona, Dafne Fernández, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, etc.

In 2004, in this early stage of his career, he made himself known as an actor playing the character Gitano in the film Swinled^[18] by director Miguel Bardem and with actors of the stature of Ernesto Alterio, Federico Luppi, Victoria Abril, Manuel Alexandre.

In 2005, he participated in the film The Longest Penalty Shot in the World, a highly successful comedy directed by Roberto Santiago with Fernando Tejero, Fernando Cayo, Luis Callejo, Enrique Villén.

In 2008, he starred in the award-winning short Heterosexuales y Casados, by Director Vicente Villanueva (with Guadalupe Lancho, Carmen Ruíz, Manolo Solo). Due to his performance, he was awarded in 2008 as best actor at the Cortogenia Short Film Festival in Madrid, as well as nominated for best actor at the Ibero-American Festival of Short films ABC from the ABC newspaper. This short film won dozens of awards at festivals around the world.

That same year, he was one of the producers of the documentaries about theatres in Madrid, Mutis por el Foro, for the esMadridTV platform that promoted the City of Madrid on a cultural level, commissioned by the City Council of Madrid. Recording each chapter in a significant theatre in Madrid: Theatre of María Guerrero, Teatro Alcázar, Teatro Reina Victoria, Teatro Alfil, Teatro Bellas Artes, Teatro Lara, Teatro Lope de Vega, Teatro Español, Teatro Fígaro, Teatro La Latina , Teatro Valle Inclán, Teatro Real.

In 2009, he was one of the main characters in the film Rec 2 (with Manuela Velasco, Andrea Ros), directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza.

In 2011 he participated in the international production There be Dragons, directed by Rolland Joffé with the actors West Bentley, Charlie Cox, Geraldine Chaplin, Ana Torrent, Jordi Mollá, Unax Ugalde.

That same year, in 2011, he also premiered the film The Opposite of Love directed by Vicente Villanueva with Adriana Ugarte, Hugo Silva and Marta Hazas, among others.

In the following years (2011 - 2019), he continued to act in numerous successful series, highlighting among them El Secreto de Puente Viejo, Bienvenidos al Lolita (with Roberto Álamo, Natalia Verbeke, Beatriz Carvajal). In the years 2017 and 2019 he was one of the members of the jury of the Ibero-American Festival of Short films ABC^[23][24] of the ABC newspaper.

In 2019, he was one of the protagonists of the successful series Malaka^[25][26], co-starring Salva Reina, Maggie Civantos, Vicente Romero and Antonio Gil. Produced by Javier Olivares

Throughout all these years, he has also acted in numerous theatre productions where he trained to dance and sing in addition to acting.

In 2000, Miracle in the Casa de America. Between 2002 - 2007, he participated in Das Rheingold, Don Pasquale, Giulio Cesare, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Boris Godunov at the Teatro Real in Madrid. In that same 2016 Tom en la Granja^[31] in Sala Cuarta Pared and in 2018 at the Teatro Fernán Gómez (with Gonzalo de Santiago, Alexandra Fierro, Yolanda Ulloa), as well as EnInmortalidad Cuántica with Salomé Jiménez, both directed by Enio Mejía.

As a speaker, he has given masterclasses at the Villanueva University^[32] for several years, as well as in the Kourtrajme film courses of the Ministry of Culture (France), in both cases aimed at young students of audiovisual media.
