Athletes have 8 minutes to warm up and practice during the finals. These competitors can hold the rile themselves. While event is called standing, everyone either sites on a stool or in a wheelchair in this particular one. --LauraHale (talk) 10:46, 30 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

After warm up, they had to unload. The range was declared safe and the finalists were introduced in ascending order of qualifying scores with Kosmala first (in lane 8) and Smith in lane 4. --LauraHale (talk)

Competitors had 2 and a half minutes to do a final check of their siting on their guns.

During that 2 and a half minutes, almost everyone had one or two red (7 or fewer points) ones except Zhang.

After the last siting done, players unloaded.


Each competition shot run at the same time.

Second: 1:10.6, 4:10.7, 7:10.1, 8:9.7. Seventh lane is Schmermund.

In third shot, 1:10.4 2:10.5, 3:10.1, 4:9.2, 6:10.4, 7:10.0 and 8:10.8. After this round, order for places is lanes 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,5.

In fourth round: 1:10.0, 2:9.1, 3:9.9, 4: 9.7, 5:9.8, 6:10.3, 7:10.5, 8:9.6. Order is now 1,3,2,4,7,6,8,5.

In fifth round (shot 5), 2:9.9, 3:10.1, 4:9.6, 1:10.8, 5:10.4, 6:10.0, 7:10.3, 8:10.2. Order is 1,3,2,7,4,6,5,8.

Reason for taking up this sport "I started with archery and I really enjoyed that as archery and shooting in some ways are very similar. And then the person I used to shoot arrows with suggested I go along to a rifle range. He got invited there and I said `No, I don't want to be a rifle shooter'. Title

I'd work around Australia taking the bronze, of the first set of medals awarded. Title is currently a little 'odd' in that it appears a bronze has been awarded, with the silver/gold still being fought over. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:14, 30 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
