Antarctic Press
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
Antarctic Press is a comic publishing company that is based in San Antonio, Texas. Founded by Ben Dunn in 1984, it has been successful in growing under the thumb of the 'big three' (Marvel, DC, and Image), publishing millions of issues under hundreds of distinct titles.
In its early days, Antarctic Press published a number of comics that featured anthropomorphic characters and themes of interest to furry fans, including Albedo Anthropomorphics, Furrlough, Genus, Gold Digger, Ninja High School, Shanda the Panda, and Wild Life. After nearly all of the furry comics were abruptly cancelled in 1997, Radio Comix was formed nearby to continue publishing titles from this genre.
