Talk:General Chemistry/Chemistries of Various Elements/Group 13
Add topicThis is really hilarious:
..Neither thallium metal nor any thallium compound is readily available in the United States because it is so dangerous and has few legitimate uses...
I suppose Americans don't need it because they all have guns to kill each other with?
But seriously, is wikibooks really there to advertize to the rest of the planet what a warped society the US is?
Besides I am not so sure it is even true. There are plenty of 'legitimate uses' [1] and no it is not 'so dangerous'. I have worked with it in the past and a pair of good gloves and some good washing of hands and general precautions did the trick. Yes you can poison people with it, but tha is true about a great many chemicals. Gunmhoine (discuss • contribs) 00:07, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
