This is really hilarious:

I suppose Americans don't need it because they all have guns to kill each other with?

But seriously, is wikibooks really there to advertize to the rest of the planet what a warped society the US is?

Besides I am not so sure it is even true. There are plenty of 'legitimate uses' [1] and no it is not 'so dangerous'. I have worked with it in the past and a pair of good gloves and some good washing of hands and general precautions did the trick.
