During this project, you will be participating in the Art+Feminism campaign, which aims to improve coverage of cis and transgender women, non-binary folks, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia.

You will meet with Social Science Librarian Rosalinda Linares for three library sessions. In the first library session, you will learn more about editing Wikipedia from a feminist perspective and develop sound research strategies for finding, evaluating, and using biographical sources. In the second library session, you will edit the Wikpedia articles of a person you have chosen based on individual research you've done on a particular cis or transgender woman and/or gender/sexual minority of your choice.

Your final assignment for this project will be the following:

  1. Add at least 3 sentences to your assigned article, and cite each statement to a reliable source
  2. Add at least 2 additional citations to existing statements in your assigned article
