File:Assadullah Sarwari.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Fezza21 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This is a non-free screenshot being used for primary identification purposes in the main infobox of Assadullah Sarwari. Sawari is, at least according to the article, still living which means a non-free image of would pretty much not be allowed per WP:FREER, but in this case there might be extenuating circumstances to consider which is why I started this FFD. Sawari was long-term incarcerated and even sentenced to death in Afghanistan, but the article states he was released in 2017. Normally, I would tag something like this for speedy deletion per WP:FREER, but Sarwari's current status appears unclear: he could be dead, he could be back in in prison, he could be whatever. Given all of uncertainty regarding the inner workings of Afghanistan, it might be hard to ascertain Sawari's current status. Is this uncertainty enough of a justification to meet FREER, or should this be deleted as replaceable non-free use? FWIW, I did try Googling Sawari, but all the results seem to be either about his original sentencing back in 2006 or his release in 2017. Some sources mention the possibility of him be retried for war crimes after he was released, but I can't find anything further on that. If it can be verified that Sawari is dead or back in prison, then the file could be kept: the file's rationale and the article content should then be updated accordingly; if, however, the last thing known about him is that he was released from prison in 2017, I think the file should be deleted because normally WP:BDP would assume a person of his current age to be dead, which means it seems like it would meet the exception for FREER mentioned in item 1 of WP:NFC#UUI. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:32, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Uploader never provided a free license for the photograph itself. The logo is PD simple, but without a free license for the photograph the other elements render this non-free.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 11:33, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:I Do - Castells.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by ILIL (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

De-PRODded without rationale. The sample still doesn't illustrate contextual significance of the song, and omitting the sample may likely not affect such understanding. George Ho (talk) 19:55, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Gladstone Sculpture.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Mcdonal6 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Canada has freedom of panorama for 3D artworks, so someone could take a freely-licensed photograph of this sculpture. It is not a 2D graphic work despite the {{non-free 2D art}} template. Ixfd64 (talk) 20:22, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Adone Zoli-1.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Daffy123 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Image is not used in any articles, source is permanently dead with no certain publication date. I don't want to import files with incomplete info to Commons, and it seems like a lesser quality recolor of File:Adone Zoli.jpg which is already on commons with a less dubious source. We could copy over with Commons:Template:Senato.it and the senate source but it seems a bit laundry. Sennecaster (Chat) 22:03, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
