Sharlely "Lilly" Becker (née Kerssenberg; born 25 June 1976 in Rotterdam) is a Dutch model. From 2009 to 2018 she was married to tennis player Boris Becker.[1]

Life

Kerssenberg's father was Swiss, and her mother was from Suriname. In 1979, they died in a car accident when Kerssenberg was three years old. She and her sister were raised by their grandparents, and later by their aunt and uncle in Amsterdam. In 1992, Kerssenberg submitted an application to an Italian model scout, but was rejected. She later worked as croupier in London and Tel Aviv for a few months.[2] In 1999 Becker moved to Miami Beach and worked as a bartender and promotional model. In 2003 she met American media businessman und lawyer Michael R. Bermann. They married in 2003 and separated by 2005, ultimately divorcing in 2008.

Kerssenberg met Boris Becker in September 2005 while separated from Bermann.[3] In April 2007 Kerssenberg moved into Becker's home on Lake Zürich.[4] She later moved into an apartment on King's Road in Chelsea, London. Kerssenberg and Becker separated, and Becker was briefly engagement to German model Alessandra Meyer-Wölden in 2008. Kerssenberg and Becker then resumed their relationship. In February 2009, during an episode of the German game show Wetten, dass..? the couple anounced their engagement.[5] They married on 12 June 2009 in St. Moritz. On 10 February 2010 their son, Amadeus Benedict Edley Luis Becker, was born.[6] Kerssenberg and Becker separated in May 2018.[7]
