Jarvis George (born December 8, 1976) is an American actor. His acting work includes the films Gamer (film), The Vatican Tapes and guest appearances on The Wire, NCIS (TV Series), Criminal Minds and Stargate SG-1.

Early Life and Career

Jarvis was born in Virginia Beach, VA to Shirley George, a special education teacher, and John George, a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. The youngest of three brothers, Jason George (also an actor) and Johnny George (graphic and web designer, artist and author), Jarvis was an excellent student athlete in high school and received a football scholarship to Howard University in Washington, DC. While at Howard, he pursued his acting interests in student films and stage productions, minoring in theatre while also winning a Black College National Football Championship in 1996. Graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1999, Jarvis worked professionally as an actor until enrolling in the graduate acting program at Penn State University in the fall of 2000. Upon receiving his MFA, he moved to Los Angeles in 2003.
