Article format
editWhy we don't have a format like:
War XYZ
- Battle A
- Battle B
- Battle C
Putting all battles in a table, in one batch, is more harder to follow. El Otro (talk) 14:54, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
- Many items listed are not battles but campaigns and wars. Many of the battles named are simply the only notable event of a longer war. Many battles that seem to form a group that could in retrospect be seen as one war would not have been seen as such by contrarieties of the events. As such I would not want the article to structure as suggested as it lacks the flexibility required. However, where there are clearly defined and well accepted wars (especially in the modern eras) it may be worth adding text in the "Brief description" column that would make the grouping clear. Redlinks
editThis article contains an enormous number of redlinks. Beyond the usual convention that if something isn't notable enough to have an article, it doesn't appear in a list, this makes it difficult to verify an edit like this.
I propose a relatively drastic remedy; remove all redlinks. They can be re-added if articles are forthcoming. Pinkbeast (talk) 04:18, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
I’m probably responding too late to this but I agree, there are way to many redlinks. I have tried searching outside Wikipedia for references to many of these battles and came up with nothing, so it’s possible some mentioned aren’t even real SamMcDermott (talk) 20:08, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Formosa Expedition - Not a Chinese war
editWhy is the Formosa Expedition included on a list of Chinese wars? This is factually inaccurate. Neither the location nor belligerents were Chinese. Võ Nguyên Giáp war criminal (talk) 05:02, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Move discussion in progress
